Go NOWHERE day, today!

I napped most of the afternoon away!

Had rest of open face meatball sandwich with some broccoli salad. Leftover from Christmas Eve.

Munched on couple halo's.

I had kids here all day. Cheryl and Kevin came and he started working on the part of the half bath wall that needed replaced before the new washer and dryer can be installed. Then Amber, Mike and Alyssa came and later we had lunch of leftovers. Now the wall is finished and the upper part and the other walls will be painted, maybe tomorrow. This evening I fixed round steak, homemade gravy, carrots, corn, mashed potatoes, and cranberries that were left and any dessert they wanted that was left. The kids just left to go home.

We had red beans & rice with andouille sausage!! It was fantastic!!!!

Did nothing today so we just had some leftovers from yesterday.

Big D has the fryer going..guess he's making french fries..said he was gonna make a prime rib sandwich..but he found breaded chicken patties...so maybe he changed his mind...

Sue, that's a yummy sounding dinner..

Ohhh so the word from the kitchen is chicken sandwiches..

I made Swiss steak and mashed potatoes. The gravy from the Swiss steak was tasty. I haven't made Swiss steaks for years and so happy it turned out so well.
We had the last of the Brussel's sprouts with carrots, onion and bacon.

Went to a beautiful restaurant on the lake had fried shrimp, baked potato, and a small salad. It hit the spot.

Leftovers from Christmas dinner. That's probably what we will be eating tomorrow, too, but maybe in a different form like soup.

Our neighbour from our former apartment bldg is an avid fisherman. He fishes right until the water freezes, or it gets too cold. He's going out Saturday again.

He invited us to dinner and had a huge Rainbow trout which was filleted and baked. Baked sweet potatoes.....my first time eating them baked! To die for.
Peas with sliced green onion and cilantro and a salad of tomatoes, lettuce and avocado. Lots of Chilean red wine.

It was a great time.

I was sick all day and did not eat anything until last evening. Then had about 3 small bites of leftover prime rib, the same of lemon green beans and spiced carrots and a hot roll. Because that did not upset my stomach, I later had a small slice of lemon pie.
