Now this is what I call "relaxed"

Grandson stopped by, today, from hunting in the rain, dripping wet.

Told him to strip and put on my overly sized comfy clothes, and shirt with button missing, then plopped down on the sofa to relax, while his rain soaked clothes dried in the dryer.

Gotta love him.

That sculpture was from the Chelsea Garden Show in Great Britain in 2006. It is entitled, The Dreaming Girl, and was supposedly purchased by George Harrison's widow. The sculpture was created by Sue and Peter Hill. I have long admired this and the Hill's Mud Maid as well.

Well our televison has a mute button so I amuse myself by pushing it and then saying what i think the commercials should say. e.g. "See all these policemen they are coming to arrest me but since I have all these law books I will just throw the book at them." Or "this is the star wars missile defence system, I was playing with it and hit the wrong button and wiped out my opponent." But for phone calls i just hang up.

Yesterday morning (August 10th) on my way to my desert research area I was amazed to see numerous crop fields, roads, and unfortunately homesites flooded along US 95 btwn San Luis and Yuma. This afternoon (August 11) storm clouds are building southwest of the Shilo Inn in Yuma. I suspect more rain tonight. Noticed a few herbaceous plants sprouting the last few days in the desert. Hopefully by the time I depart to Baton Rouge end of next week I can see something in the desert other than dingy cresotebush and dead Plantago ovata, Allonia incarnata, Oenotheras, and invasive grasses. I've always chuckled when Arizona locals complain about "high humidity". The last few days it has felt like the Louisiana sauna I am all too familiar with. The humidity combined with 108 degrees F in the blazing sun is pretty uncomfortable. At least no mosquitos, fire ants, and redbugs!!

A wet room like that would drive me crazy ... everything would get splashed with water ... and I would feel like I had to squeegee and towel dry the whole thing! I do that in a 3' 9" x 7' shower and that is plenty big enough ...

so did he get anything? my poor sil has gone out 4 times and not one deer...they use the meat instead of store bought...thanks be his dad gave them one (but a doe so not as much meat)

Son and GS belong to two hunting clubs. They both have bagged one or more. They are bow and gun, according to the season, hunters.

I think its' fantastic that you and he have such a great relationship,Glenda.

Is that a bit of a beard he has growing? It certainly looks as such-and if so,only adds to his already awesome looks.

So happy he chose your place to relax-lucky you "and" him!

Nice that he feels so at home at your place. Nothing like grandma's. My grandson went to the same college as your grandson and he loved it. Made many great friends there too. He's a cool guy doesn't care what he wears to relax and let his clothes dry.

My first thought was 0what the heck is he wearing, then-is that a beard!! I bet he showed up at the door very hungry too! I love that he hangs out with you.

Luckily I had homemade soup and fixings for a sandwich.

Beards seem to be the "in" thing with the youngsters.

I'm happy we have such a great relationship.

I'm surprised he let you post a pic with him wearing a pink shirt. He is truly a great young man. I think he looks great with the beard and he is much better looking than Abe Lincoln. Merry Christmas Glenda!
