Um..sitting in the parking lot of Kamren's school waiting on him.

I think it will be pork and peas over rice.

I may have a change of mind by the time I get home.

We are having pork chops smothered in mushroom soup, loaded mashed potatoes and kale via Snidely's Recipe

Mine was lasagna and a piece of bread.

Can't wait for the warmup at end of wk here in OH. I hope it melts all of the snow/ice and lets me have a couple of days at least where I can get out and about on my own.

Glenda, that's a lot of food, but with all 12 bringing a dish it doesn't take long to fill up a buffet. I'm surprised there were no desserts! Raven, everything sounds delicious. We ended up having sliced avocados last night because the mangoes weren't quite ready. Way to go, Jasdip. You're making space in the frig for more of your good cooking! Shirley, I looked for green beans in the grocery today and they were awful looking. I wanted green beans and red potatoes so bad!! Yep, I think we all love our leftovers and most of the time I think they taste better on day 2 (or 3).

Your dinners sound great!! Rhizo, barbecuing and fishing??? Wow. Carol, we bought a turkey on sale, because your T-Giving made me want a roast turkey. I'm planning to make a turkey pot pie; using biscuits as a topping vs a pie crust. A de-constructed one sounds good :-) Walnutcreek (good to SEE you!). Breakfast for dinner is a hit with many people! We like it. Shirley, burger and soup, nice healthy meal OF, greasy burger and fries, not as healthy as Shirley's ;-) but ultimate diner food. Ellen we love pasta, and made a great meat sauce on the weekend. Deeby, your potato salad sounds good, for the summer. It's easy to see you're in CA. LOL GM, I love quiche. Hubby won't eat eggs if they're hot (loves egg salad and deviled), so I seldom make it. I just have to do it and freeze it.

Gorgeous day here today. I made grilled chicken breast in cacciatore sauce with sliced fresh little tomatoes and served it over fettuccine topped with grated cheeses. It was awesome. I should have made garlic bread to go with it.

Had 4 of the little meatloaves left from yesterday. Heated them up along with the rest of the mashed sweet and yellow potatoes, and some creamed corn.

I have an apple crostata in the oven now, and the oven just beeped. Yum, I can't wait.

We will probably have pork fried rice or Japanese noodles with vegetables and pork. Depends on how much rice I have left over.
And a green salad.
It was 80 degrees here today. Short sleeve weather!!!

Cream of potato soup made with chopped celery, onion, and a little bit of carrot cooked in some chicken stock with the potatoes. Butter and half&half added at the end.

I sprinkled some crispy bacon and chopped green onion on top. Man, did it ever hit the spot!

Glenda, I thought maybe you stopped at a deli and picked some up..didn't realize it was a place that had it on their menu.!

Carol...I am very jealous of your weather..all though it doesn't surprise me..it was quite spring like here. Pork for you too huh?

Rhizo, your soup sounds divine! I want some :)

Last night DH grilled two flank steaks that I marinated with a mesquite rub. Tonight we made sandwiches with the left overs. I made carmelized onion jam that I topped them with, along with a garlic aioli spread. Lots of different flavors going on, but really tasty.

Matti, that sounds good. do you have a recipe for the onion jam?

Raven, when alone no dishes is obvious..no shame in just a sandwich.

I ate way to many mouthfuls of pasta! I also had salad..

I'm STUFFED...

Baking Bourbon, Brown Butter Vanilla Bean Shortbread...dishwasher is already running..kinda like this baking and the dishes are already done..think I should do refrigerator cookies more often and tuck it in the fridge and/or freezer!
