I love jigsaw puzzles. I still have a bunch of them, that I've had for years, but I have difficulty parting with them. They are all 1,000 pieces and very hard to do.

I was given some puzzles over the years for Christmas, called The World's Difficult Puzzle, and it has the picture on both sides of the pieces, but one side is turned 90 degrees.
Definitely a hard puzzle!

One of my favourites is the same kind of puzzle and it's a mosaic. A bunch of small pictures make up one large picture. It's an astronaut.

I think once you got started, you'd be hooked Mush!

It has been a long time since we had one in the works. They are fun to stop for a few minutes now and again to hunt for a piece or two. That mat idea is excellent, especially if there is a cat in the house. They have a different idea of how put a puzzle together than we do. LOL

ugh! they drive me crazy!!! i guess I have no patience for them. My friends do them all the time, and my two little grandsons LOVE them. I like word puzzels and games.

I used to like them, I haven't done one in years!

I don't like jigsaw puzzles at all.. like Cheri said I'd rather do word games or puzzles.

With cats aaround I have to restrict my playing to those on the computer. The first thingmy BIL did when at My mom's for Christmas was put the car table up and get out the jigsaw puzzle , They were fun to do

Love doing jigsaw puzzles. I like Springbok jigsaw puzzles and you can get them at Hallomark. I like the pieces the pieces in this brand of puzzles and they interlock really good.

I have wanted one of those mats for years because I usually do my puzzles on the kitchen table and then I have to put a table cloth on top of it to keep the cat from stealing pieces.

I never like looking at the picture on the box when doing puzzles and I keep the pieces in the box and run them through my fingers to find the piece I need. Some of my friends put all of the pieces on the table and then sort them. LOL That drives me crazy, I need to feel them.

I have lots of puzzles, wished you lived closer Mush I would lend them to you.

My friends and I get together and work on puzzles. They can be addicting though. LOL

A 1000 piece puzzle at Hallmark runs about $24-30. Sometimes they go on sale usually after Christmas.

Every year I set up a puzzle between Christmas and New Years and everyone who stops by works on it.

We used to do jigsaw puzzles all the time when I was young. I haven't done one in ages.

Mush I am really into jigsaw puzzles and find mine at Big Lots, Tuesday Morning and at Alco stores. My favorites are Master Pieces, they interlock well. I bought my table at jigthings site.

I like jigsaw puzzles, but have little time to work on them. I probably have 15 new ones that over the years the kids have gotten me for Christmas or birthdays. Most are of horses and a few dog ones. I wish I had a table like you have vala 55. Pretty puzzle too. Cheryl and Amber got some really nice new ones this year at rummage sales, $.50 each. Sometimes they buy Thomas Kinkade puzzles.

I like them but rarely do them. My mother would get us all working one on a card table in the dining room (rather than the dinner table) and we would gather around it off and on during the week. I think it did help cement family communication and relationships, which I am sure was her goal.

My DF was very much into jigsaw puzzles the last few years he was alive and we truly enjoyed them as a family.

Marilyn, the table was very expensive, but the board was only $35. and it is worth every penny of it. You can use it on a foot stool in front of your chair, put a book or two under the top to tilt it. The pieces don't slide around because of the cloth covering and you can carry it to another room if you have company. I find if I keep my mind on something like this I don't worry about problems. Tv doesn't do that for me. these things are made in the UK, but they have warehouse/offices here in the US where they are shipped from. My table's casters were broken and they sent me another table without taking the other one back, so I have two. They are a very good company to deal with.

I just bought a few at Costco - they had a special collection of them for $9.99 - 500 or 1000 pieces.

I order a lot of puzzles from Bits and Pieces Catalog. I order as many as 10 at a time and have them sent directly to my very limited income sister-in-law 2 states away. When she is done with them, I pick them up and do them. When I am done I pass them to a neighbor. When she is done, she donates them to the VA hospital.

Very nice picture, but looks hard to work. I checked out White Mountain puzzles, but they are very expensive. The place I order the table and board from have nice ones, but they are also expensive. I buy artist puzzles, but they are from stores that have them marked to at least half price.

I used to be hooked on them, lately not so much. But I asked for a nice Springbok Christmas puzzle for Christmas. I'd like to keep it and do it every Christmas. They're the nicest puzzles I have seen but expensive.

I love them, my problem is, I can't walk away from one once I start. Which means I get nothing else done!
I buy mine at yard sales for hardly nothing.
I do not put any puzzle together that I already have done. I hate repeats.

I love Jigsaw puzzles that I do on the computer....no mess...no missing pieces. With animals, I doubt I would be able to finish one without missing pieces.

Working jigsaw puzzles, like sitting in front of a glowing fireplace, is no fun by yourself.

Yes,I like really hard ones.I get a great catalog in the mail with some really neat ones all puzzles.

The White Mountain puzzle site is fantastic. Lots to choose from but they don't deliver to Canada. :(
