| Lookin' Good! |
| Wowie zowie!! Aren't you talented, though!! That is really beautiful, Kat, and I'll bet the lights will be reflected in it at night. Can you take a nighttime pic if it's not too cold? (I hear you might have a little snow.) |
| Great Job! Looks like a lot of work. |
| It is beyound beautiful! My inner Ms. Nosey Parker has to make her appearance! Where did you get the scrap metal? (Is it roof flashing?) Who cut the petals? (And with what?) How big is the wooden circle base? How did you attach the petals? What is the bow made of? Can you guess who needs something similar over her garage doors? (If you wouldn't think I was a blatant copy-cat. I am half the country away from your house. If I were close by I'd be proud to paint the trim - which looks fine - for you!) My off-center, mis-matched, odd garage doors need something huge and beautiful, like your wreath, to distract for their "oddness." It is so beautiful! You are a very talented woman! |
| Kat, that is soooo pretty. What a lot of work, but the outcome is well worth it. |
| That is gorgeous, girl!!!! Great job!!!! I'd love to see the night lights shining on it. |

| Thank you, everyone! LOL, Caroline! Construct away! I don't know the diameter of the plywood. It is one inch plywood. It's is left over from when I had to jerry~rig a purchased base to fit my Dad's marble coffee top. (the coffee table in first picture) I bought a round and then used my skill saw to cut out the right size for the table. I will measure the coffee table and give you a guess! And yes, it is 14 inch wide aluminum flashing. I used 2, 10 foot rolls. They were from another project that didn't work out! And I wanted to use copper for a bow, but it IS a bit pricey, and like someone pointed out, it would have been stolen! The only thing I didn't have was something for a bow. I tried the mylar emergency blanket, but not stiff enough, an not enough texture. So I hit up Home Depot and found this insulation. I was looking for something red or green, but didn't find anything I thought would work. I might find some metallic spray paint and try it out on the left over insulation. lol I was going to attach them using roofing nails, but used I'm thinking it is 48 inches in diameter. I took a propane torch to two of the single leaves, the ones |
| You are The Bomb! I'm going to try to sneak this in as a "Honey Do" project. If all else fails, I'll tackle it myslef! (For next Christmas, LOL!) |
| the flashing had a coating of some type on it. I wonder if I had taken the time to get that off, it the metal would have turned a nicer color. The color it DID turn would have made a nice pinecone! I was thinking of making one, but I didn't have any left over! lol I spray painted window screening, but it didn't have enough punch! lol |
