This made be proud!

Living in Toronto is frustrating for modest income hockey fans. Although every game is sold out, the tickets are too expensive for most of us to afford, despite the fact that they haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1967! But last month, despite not being able to see the game in person, I was very proud to witness what happened prior to the Leafs' game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

While the American national anthem was being sung, the microphone suddenly cut out. Very shortly after that, the Toronto Maple Leaf fans took it upon themselves to all start singing the remainder of The Star Spangled Banner, to not leave their opponents' anthem left unfinished. As the microphone remained broken, the crowd then sang Oh Canada, as well. But that is to be expected, since it is our own anthem. I'm just proud our city's fans did not leave the players and fans of the Flyers, with an unfinished national anthem!
