Awww, thanks for asking! I didn't want to clog up the posts with yet another one about my dog. She's doing fantastic - still a little weak but getting around well, going up and down stairs on her own. We've been doing some physical therapy exercises with her at home and as soon as her incision is healed, she'll start swimming. The surgeon is amazed at her resiliency, because it's not too often that an old Golden recovers so well. But, she doesn't know Chammi ;) I was really worried for a couple of days, but then one morning she magically looked like her old self again. Her thyroid panel came back a little low, so my vet has recommended treating her for a month to see if there's any change. Apparently hypothyroidism in dogs can cause muscle weakness, just like in people. I'll try and post a photo later. Sue

Simple White is red hue family. A hint of pink doesn't surprise me. But Shale is right there in the red to yellow-red hue family neighborhood too. Which is why Simple White was a contender. Are you testing it on the ceiling? Once you turn color from vertical to horizontal above your head this thing called 'flop angle' kicks in and it does change how the color is perceived. The angle strips chroma so the color looks less colorful and more gray and it also appears darker in value. The only other idea is yet another color - Incredible White SW 7028 which is about the same chroma (amount of colorfulness) as Simple White but it's more squarely in the yellow-red hue family so it's less likely it would show as pink. As far as ordered color systems, Dunn-Edwards the Perfect Palette might be the ultimate. California Paints licenses it because it's awesome. Benjamin Moore is actually one of, if not the most, poorly organized of all the color collections I work with. Again, likely more designer-type opinion as opposed to common sense and logic could be the culprit. i.e. The Affinity deck is marketed that all the colors coordinate. Coordinate is arguable. Rather the colors all have about the same amount of grayness. A tight range or consistent amounts of gray means they match on the aspect of grayness. Doesn't necessarily mean they harmonize. Color harmony is just another way to say color order and vice versa. Matching just one aspect like grayness does not constitute order therefore does not constitute harmony. So, the Affinity collection is just as ineffective as Classic Colors.

In my last remodel we got our cabinets months before we were actually ready for them. It was a DIY thing and we just ordered too early. But we opened each box and checked out each cabinet very thoroughly. It was good because the sink base was actually pretty damaged and we needed a new one. I was also able to get the company to replace some doors and drawer fronts that had less than stellar wood used on the fronts. This time our cabinets are supposed to come on May 1st. We probably wont even have our floors sanded by then! I seriously hope we do though.

Absolutely, weathermen were wrong here today! Every Sunday my DD comes out and spends an hour or so with me and we catch up on "stuff." I didn't expect her today because of the weather report. It had rained and was freezing on the roads and black ice every where. This morning she called and said " I love you, but I'm not coming out today." I told her to just stay in. This afternoon the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. My neighbor and I took a walk, knowing we wouldn't have a nice day again soon probably. So, Patty, you better expect those cousins. You know they won't let a little weather stop them. Sue
