Was it just me or was gardenweb down for awhile? I couldn't get to three forums, and when I got back from my walk, there was a bunch of gibberish on the screen where I was trying to get KT. Now it's working. I don't think it was my computer because I could go everywhere else.

Well I'm glad I wasn't the only one having a problem getting onto GW. I got a screen full of gibberish as well.

I called my niece yesterday morning after watching news coverage of storm-touch-down near Raleigh, she's in Durham NC. A sheriff's deputy, and pregnant. She said damage and injuries next to her father in laws and one sister in laws neighborhood but everyone fine. They were just home from church and meeting friends for lunch in clear 70F (right that minute) weather. She sounded very calm for someone who wasn't raised in that part of the country :) We were in the car half way to Bainbridge Island and it was 42F. :( Not that I'm complaining about the chill, not more than a little anyway. It's hard for me to picture that kind of storm. Ours blow in off the ocean and take in all of us in a wide swath, not hit and miss from block to block.

Actually, I didn't realize the previous was maxed out until I saw your post...thanks for letting me know! CelticMoon...if you check the "Read Me" thread you'll notice that I added the gel stain instructions. On an off we have receive quite a few requests for it, so I thought I'd add it. There's light at the end of the tunnel, one of our GWers asked about setting up a FAQ and iVillage said to check back with them in March...so keep your fingers crossed! (I wonder why no one ever responds to my questions/comments? I've asked at least 2x before and had other questions as well...but I don't think I've ever received a reply...the only time I heard from them was when I got my hands slapped for starting an off-topic post on Discussions!)

Thanks for the welcome! boxer, those are very similar except the cabinet style is a simple shaker. I believe the color is very close. The sample we have is a few years old so it has darkened some. A nice preview of what is to come. I'm personally drawn to the darker one, multicolor. I'm hoping light walls and backsplash will be enough to keep it from looking like a cave. It would be nice to also put the same tile by the front door (in a different size) to tie things together. I feel like either tile would look beautiful, I just don't want to pick the wrong one and wish I had the other. Probably the most difficult kitchen decision so far!

Hello. I know I'm coming to your kitchen party late, but your kitchen is very close to what I am thinking of installing. Maybe you can answer a few questions? I have almost settled on the Cambria Buckingham, but I am worried it will make the kitchen too dark. I am having cabinets made, the stain will be very similar to the cabinets you installed. My floor is a white/off white porcelain tile (existing). I don't have can lights, only pendants over the islad, sitchen sink and light from west facing windows. I would love to know how you feel about your backsplash a many years later? I am thinking of using a plain subway tile, but worried it is too plain for the gorgeous Cambria. Thanks for any help you can throw my way!

It sure was down for a while. Maybe they were working on those ads that were causing problems.
They usually put a notice up top when repairs are being done but I didn't see any this time.

Yes, I had the same problem. I also have not been able to get to Words With friends on FB and wondered if it was related, but probably not. Just glad to get back in now.

Earlier today me too...I checked the computer and it said there were no problems, besides I was able to log on to other sites, so???

Glad to hear it wasn't just my computer. Maybe techies were working on the ad problem. The gibberish was scary. I saw weird phrases and words.

I didn't have the problem - but wasn't here yesterday.

Did anyone else find their name included in the gibberish?

Maybe it was a case of the ones involved talking to themselves?
