 o
Dave Brubeck has made his final departure

A couple of days ago ... and it would have been his 92nd? birthday the next day.

He had many years of touring his music, which was greatly appreciated by many, through much of the world.

They said the other day that the average age of the Rolling Stones is 68 and a few months ...

... and of the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court was 66 ... and 364 days.

Yes, Ed - a lot of great talents have died - just reminds me to enjoy every day, realizing I'm getting 'up there', too.

Rest in peace, Dave, knowing you were loved in this world - THANK YOU!

Sad, but what a good life! I'm sure I've mentioned here (probably more than once) that I used to live next door to Paul Desmond, Brubeck's saxophonist. They were great friends.

I really enjoy his work -- that "Take 5" album was a favorite in our home when I was growing up.

He'll be missed, but I'm happy that he had a good, long life.

Absolutely loved the guy. Take Five is the very best jazz piece ever.
