New Grand baby

This is Nathan,,,born yesterday,,,my hubby is in the same hospital and was in bad condition from diabetes and high blood pressre,but is improving.The nurses took him over to the maternity ward to visit his new grandbaby!

That's such happy news about your new grandson. I'm sorry to hear your husband is having troubles, but maybe just getting to see that new precious member of the family will give him a lift.

Babies get sick and you get so worried. You wish you could take it on yourself, but they have to go thru it. She is so incredibley precious. Our little one is now over 2 years old, but it seems like yesterday when we could hold her in one arm! Enjoy! Great Photos!

Do they have a Snuggie? I think that's what it is called. Anyway, there is a new&old theory that the first month is like a 4th trimester and that human babies are the only mammals born in less that a year of gestation. So with that in mind, you wrap the baby snuggly in the garment/blanket and it makes it feel like the womb. If the baby cries alot then you "sh,sh,sh" closely in his ear and bounce. You are basically mimicing the sounds and feel of the womb. Thing is its not a gentle motion or a quiet "sh". The book "The Happiest Baby on The Block" explains it all. DS and DIL used it when Asher got fussy and couldn't calm himself down. Only needed it a few times the first few weeks but I watched DS do it and it really worked! So IF they need it and don't have it, you might check out the book and video. Now they make the blanket type thing so that it velcros but you could use most any blanket if you fold it correctly. Wonder if I could use it on a almost running 14 month old? HA!

Oh wasn't it great that DH got to see the little one. He's just precious. Do hope DH gets better real soon and you have the happiest of Christmases with the new grand baby on board.

Welcome to the world, Nathan! Isn't he just so *perfect*? He looks like a big baby -- nice round head, and all that nice hair. You can use a dose of joy right now! I'm glad your DH was well enough to go see his grandson.

What a beautiful baby Nathan is. I love his full head of hair. Congrats to all and am glad that Grandpa got to visit with them. Hopefully everyone will have a very Merry Christmas.

Guess I forgot to hit the "Submit" button again since my post from earlier isn't here. Anyway, he's a beautiful baby, Caroline. Look at all that hair! Hope your DH is able to come home soon. It's so nice of the nurses to take him to see Nathan.

Sorry to hear about your DH. Nathan is gorgeous! Can't wait to see pictures of him (with Natalie) when he gets home, and is wrapped in the beautiful quilts his grandma made him.

thank goodness they were in the same hospital! so nice of the nurses to get him over to see the baby...maybe that will give dh reason to follow directions when he gets home...more visits!
