Haven't seen anything new at Craft Sales

I have been to a lot of Xmas craft sales and they are all the same. Most people are selling jewelery, have not seen any new crafts for a long time. People that sell food items seem to be doing OK. I can't imagine that people who are making all this jewelery are selling much of it, most is so expensive.

There aren't even any craft shows around here anymore. Just "vendor" shows - Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, etc...

I get my craft fix on Pinterest now...

I agree, after going to several, between storms, not much new. Even the one in Mohall, which is usually really local stuff, a good variety, but the same. I agree, the people selling the jewelry are way over price ,and again not sure if they are really making the necklaces and earrings. I hesitate buying local homemade pies, cakes, and even cookies anymore since this state has so many new people. At one show, they put up signs stating that these baked goods were made in an unlicensed kitchen and not many people were buying anything. Guess it is a change of times. I will buy if I know the person.

Buford, Buford, Buford . . . Are you NEVER going to figure out how this works? Ofcourse they don't count, silly! Not only do they not count, but those four will occupy space reserved for roses that you DO want, so when you (finally) get the four that you do want, those four don't count either because the stress of delayed gratification PLUS the hassle of fitting them in cancels them out TWICE, see? So you're getting a total of nine roses, only one of which you have to count -- PLUS you then have a bonus of four roses that you get to add to next year's order(s). So that's an even dozen new roses that actually don't figure into your total. Now do you understand?

Thank you Lavender... Just loved your idea about the continue countertop in the DOL. I think it could make the oven cabinet look a little more hutch like. I think I could be far more creative with the cabinetry layout but I worked too much on this the last couple of days. need a break. i did work on the fridge elevation as well. I am going to post. would love your opinion and anyone else's if people aren't completely sick of my project! Two are with a window and two are without. Two are with the X cabinets, two are with regular cabinets. Either way I see the cabinet above the sink being shallower in depth than the others. Thanks for looking.

When I was a kid, living in Western New York, we had a summer thunderstorm with balls of "heat lightning" hitting the ground around our house. My Mom was terrified one would hit the house. I watched the storm with fascination. Luckily our house was equipped with a lightning rod on the roof.

Every year it's the same stupid thing. They all buy new underwear so they can walk around in it for 39 days. You'd think, by now, the women would get wise and find a bathing suit that they can wear under their clothing. I don't understand CBS not making sure that the survivors are covered a little more appropriately. 8p.m. is supposed to be the family hour. I sure wouldn't want to have a 12 year old son of mine getting exposed to that much boobage, week after week.

I went to 3 craft shows on Saturday. I didn't buy anything. Only thing new was leather bracelets, which must be a fad now.

I skipped this year's big show at our local high school. It's just so horribly busy that you cannot even find a place to park unless you get there at 7:30 am. What I wanted to buy there, I can just buy on line anyway and the weather was terrible. I agree, nothing much but jewelry and I don't have any need or desire to even look at jewelry. I have more than I even wear already and it's all fine jewelry, not costume jewelry. I wear a wedding ring and a watch and that's pretty much it. All those purses they sell are not anything like what I use so that's of no interest. I have an Avon lady already, I have a zillion Scenty waxes, Tupperware is way over priced junk, same with Pampered Chef. Just a bunch of stuff you can buy at any store for much cheaper. I have craft show burn out!

I agree; they used to be so much fun. I only went to one this year, but came home with three jars of jam! An older fellow did very well......he was selling bird feeders made of a screen material and two round cake pans, and the price was right. He was sold out before 10:00!
