you mean the Kmart joe boxer ad?
I think it is a bit too far yes.
It is funny but I just don't see it as good taste.
My husband absolutely detest it.

I do admit I laughed at the Kmart commercial but I can see why some would be offended. We'll be seeing kids in the outfits next Halloween. lol

I love the Joe Boxer commercial along with KMart's other commercials such as "ship your pants". The Joe Boxer commercial is actually pretty mild compared to some prime time sitcoms that I find disgusting and other commercials.

It is in bad taste. The fact that someone asked says some people don't like it and don't want it in their home. It is unfortunate that because there are worse things on TV it is being judged "ok". Because an adult might be amused the first time does not mean it should be on TV nor does it mean that makes it appropriate. K-Mart has struggled for many years now. It might not be such a bad thing if the boycotting this is inspiring put them out of their misery permanently.

My son and I hate it. We find it tacky. But to each their own! It's just a different taste from us, not inappropriate? I think that may be too far. What do I know?

Someone asked me a couple days if I had seen it.

My reply was that I thought it was disgusting.

The fact that "there are worst" doesn't qualify it as being good. I can already see little boys imitating that commercial and thinking it is funny and okay.

When are we going to say "okay, enough already of the suggestive ads and near porn!" and get back to what is
decent?

I had never heard of it till this thread. Just watched it and I think it's funny!

The point of commercials from an advertising point of view is to get attention and get people talking about it, as that leads to bigger exposure and bigger sales. I would say it's a success for K-Mart.

There are always people that will find offense in anything. I'd rather something be offensive than annoying, like an ad on Black Friday with the neighbors "glitching" that was played every 3 minutes, very annoying.

What is in such poor taste? It's a silly joke...exactly the type of dumb bathroom humor that boys (including older ones, lol) think is funny. Here....pull my finger.

Now, those boxers are in pretty bad taste, lol.

Offended by the commercial.....nope. Like it and watch it... nope. I have found all of K-Marts ads this year to be stupid.

I couldn't help but think of everything in there moving around. Not a visual I really want going through my mind. But maybe that says something about me ?

Would you feel differently if the dancers were female and clad in the exact same costumes? I think they're pretty modest, certainly nothing as extreme or revealing as you see with cheerleaders from any football or basketball game on TV or how people are dressed on other TV shows.

If you consider the necklines on blouses/tops worn by the average 13 year old girl just to go to school, this routine by comparison is pretty tame.

I think it's tacky and tasteless and didn't find it humorous. I hate Kmart anyway.

Yes, it's doing its job by making us think of boxers and Kmart. But I also believe it's in very poor taste.

What about the Victoria's Secret commericals and their yearly televised fashion show? Do some find that offensive? Just curious.

I liked it until the end where I could see the picture on the gold ones. Didn't like that. Not sure how it would look on TV.

Bottom line: better than most commercials

I find it entertaining, not offensive and I'm old!! Much more to worry about these days.

With K- Mart ads there is nothing to say but they are all trash. I never shop at K-Mart.

maybe not offensive, just not necessary. Same as the Victoria Secret ads....just not necessary.

I think it is cute..and at least they are more covered than the Victoria Secret Models...and some soap ads...

I love it. Don't find it disgusting at all. I DO find many...if not MOST...TV sitcoms far, far worse. Not many shows at all without grunting bedroom scenes, half-clothed females (always with their bras on..LOL) and talking about "sleeping" with this one and that one, What's offensive about ding-a-lings ringing??? I don't get it. Would jingling boobs have been better or worse?

I think it's clever and cute. . . and certainly attention-getting. Everyone knows who sponsored it, and isn't that the message they're trying to get across? Good advertising.

Yes, there are so many more tasteless and offensive stuff that is being marketed these days, on TV and in the movies. I'd much rather see things like the shorts than all the savage violence in the media. What portion of the population are those marketed to?

Regarding the ding-a-lings: Maybe everyone should just lighten up a bit!

I'm almost 80 and no prude. Too many other things to worry about in the world today.

I find it rather sophomoric and disgusting so I just mute the ad and busy myself elsewhere. DH really dislikes it.

The Hershey's Kisses bell-ringing ad is one of my very favorites. I wish the last bell wouldn't go "whew" when its "solo" is over.

and --- I really dislike this autocorrect. I've changed "it's" it "its" without an apostrophe twice now...and the apostrophe is still there.

AND --- now the stray apostrophe seems to be gone!

My main issue with it is that it is a CHRISTMAS commercial not a general run of the mill day to day commercial or tv show. It is on to represent the CHRISTMAS season using a classic song that everyone relates to Christmas.
I think there could have been something much more appropriate to represent what Christmas is really all about!
Unfortunately so many apparently don't even know or care what Christmas is.

Not the picture I would want in my mind or my children's mind when singing or hearing Christmas songs like the classic Jingle Bells.
Don't watch Victoria Secret either, have no interest.
I am definitely NOT a prude in any way,this one is all about the respect of the holiday.
Just my feelings about things Christmas related, it is just one short time of the year.

They could take an example from the fabulous ads from years of the Budweiser Clydesdale Christmas ads, now those are ads worth seeing and remembering. And this from a Beer company! Classy and classic.
