Well, I'd like to say that I am done with the perennials but every time I do, I find more seeds soooo... I'm hoping to get a big chunk of annuals done soon (have about 175 conatiners "planned" for those. I'm out of containers for now... Inside I have cup and saucer vine, stevia, datura, and hyacinth bean sprouts that I'm trying to rid of white nats (flies). Finally bit the bullet and bought some spray. All is clear... for now. I also have rooted cuttings: hummingbird plant, wandering jew, and brugs. There's also a plumeria overwintering in the sunroom that I can't wait to get outdoors and in the sun! Bed prep is my focus now, I am amending soil on half of the perimeter of my backyard. I've raked, layed cardboard, put on a layer of leaves, and now I'm working on the compost layer. Lots to do to prepare for coming sprouts! Oh and I've planted out a few things in the beds near the house. Those little sprouts are taking some abuse with our fluctuating temps but they are troopers and look no worse for the wear. BTW, the containers that I emptied to plant out have already been refilled. Now that's a sign of addiction, right? I'm really enjoying this thread and look forward to hearing about other's progress. Nik

The concern I have is the rush to assume that a found red Tea may be FD, while there are other "lost" red Teas. If you do an advanced search on HMF for red Teas, you'll find quite a few whose scant descriptions and few illustrations could also be possibilities. For example..... http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.60704 Or, perhaps this one, which was actually sold in Australia: http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/l.php?l=21.60962 Also, trace 'Papa Gontier' back a few generations and you'll see some other lost red Teas. I think we may be biased toward finding the true versions of roses whose names have been misapplied to others because we want to correct these errors. But those aren't the only possibilities. Tired of you guys? Never! ;) Too busy to sit down at the computer for so long, yes! Life started requiring more time, not to mention the tons of plants I had to tend to after deciding to "garden for butterflies"! I actually didn't leave but did get kicked off by Spike because I posted about a Yahoo group for some local friends so I ended up joining Dave's Garden. I passed on what you all taught me and always gave you all the credit! Another thank you Mike for sending me an email! I think of you when I see my beautiful yellow butterfly bush and the Mexican Sunflowers! I still have tons of stuff for butterflies but don't bring so many cats inside. I've only had BST cats this year tho and just a stray butterfly here and there. It's been pretty sad. I hope to clean out alot tho get a fresh start next year, and hope it's a better season. I'm glad to know that so many of you that I considered "experts" are still sharing your knowledge! I'll try to keep up and stay in touch, Paige

woodnymph2, I spent vacations on the Outer Banks for several years and loved the area. I am now in a charming seaside town in Washington State. I recently moved here and have found a corpse. Oh, and did I mention that I can now see ghosts and that one of them wants me to solve his murder, which was over a century ago? In an alternate life (book) I'm a tough, dedicated, hot (and not just beacuse there's a heat wave) NYC detective stuck with an irritating journalist following me around. I don't know whether to kill him or maybe, just maybe, admit there's an attraction. Bur first I've got to solve two murders before there are more.
