I bought the 10X12 HFGH and it is up. I dug a hole and placed the base frame in it and filled it with what we call red breeze. I did have a bit of a problem with the instructions. I went to HF web site and downloaded a new set of instructions. That helped, but even with these new instructions, it left a lot to the imagination. They were different than the ones that came with the GH. I do want to make some modifications to our GH also to make it stronger. I am new to this site and would like to know how to find pictures on here, especially of the pool cover for insulation. I am thinking of putting up bubble wrap on the inside to help with insulation. I found these items on EBAY. Greenhouse Insulation Fittings - Super Alliplugs x 50 Has any one tried these? Here is the link to his EBAY store. Thanks Vicki. The web site over the years has generated emails from a number people whose lives were touched by my father in ways I can't even fathom. One man told me he has kept a scrapbook as a sort of shrine to my father. Old girlfriends, classmates, students of his boxing school, neighbors, etc. have all Googled his name, found the site and written me. I recently got an email from an 80+ year old woman who attended art school with him. She told me the only reason she didn't date dad was that she towered over him by about a foot. LOL Jodi-

I was too small to know what was really happening but remember asking my parents why they had tears on their cheeks. Dad used to take us to the train Depot to greet the troop trains. He was too young for WWI & too old for WWII and told us it was the only way he knew to do his part. I snuggled on my Dad's lap each night as Gabriel Heater give the news- it was so scary to me. But not one of us 3 kids dared speak until it was over- if we did, we'd get a look & hushed! Daddy didn't have to utter a word. Children behaved tht way back then. I very clearly recall people running out of homes and businesses laughing, dancing and shouting "The war is OVER, the war os OVER!" My 81 y/o BIL recently told his GS & me of being ordered to clear a jammed gun barrel on a battleship that had been hit. He stopped, got a far away look that lasted for some time, and finished with sobs & tears running down his cheeks as he told of removing only parts left of two sailors bodies. My DS was shocked- in their 60 of marriage, he'd never told her. When my cousin returned from Germany, sometimes he'd just get up during a meal & quickly leave the table. After I was grown my Dad told he'd fought all the way through the country, then to concentration camps to free Jewish prisoners. He must have seen unspeakable horrors- but never spoke of any of it, at least to my knowledge. Makes me sick to hear sports figures & such called heroes...the REAL Heroes are or have been on the battlefields, fighting fires, criminals or saving lives. May God ever Bless them all! Suzi

Your family is impressive, Annegreit. That is heartening. I hope you eye situation is much better. I once had, for months, years a horrible dry eye situation on top of other things. Excruciating. And invisible. Anyway, I’m glad you’re getting care for your situation.
