I shopped on Saturday, and evidently, no one is "from here", because it was slower than usual? Like everyone went home for the holiday, and home isn't here. It's my only guess! I got three of my main presents done. I don't buy a lot, so it won't be a lot more.

I doubt I'll shop today; already did some online shopping last week. Sometime this week I'll stop in at our local toy store and pick up some small items. I am going to yoga and then volunteering at the library later today.

The only shopping I will do online is from Amazon, and that is because I can buy an Amazon gift card at my grocery store. Buying the $50 gift card earns me 20 cents off each gallon of gas at that stores gas station.

This morning I did attempt to call in an order to Lands End for womens flannel shirts. Of the 6 colors offered, they were all out of every one of them in size petite small and also petite large.

So I called LL Bean and ordered the shirts. They had everything I wanted.

I will do some shopping locally this afternoon as DH has a doctor appointment in an area where there are several desirable stores that we don't have in our neighborhood.

Gazania: Which grocery store do you shop at that gives you gas points for gift cards? The Giant grocery chain where I live (Va.) includes gift cards as one of the things you can't get gas points for (another categories at Giant are stamps, beer and wine, I believe.)

Kroger is offering 4 times gas points with gift cards. Or at least, that zipped by me on the tv screen this weekend. I hope it can help?! Good luck.

I need to go to the store to get Pepsi. I tried to quit....failed. I have bid on a saddle on ebay but it didn't make the reserve and I don't think the seller will accept my high bid.

Pammyfay, The grocery is Giant Eagle with stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland. They offer hundreds of gift cards and the usual is 10 cents off per gallon of gas for every $50 spent either in groceries or gift cards. Quite often they promote the 20 cents off per $50 spent in gift cards. That is when we stock up on gift cards for business's that we regularly use like Lowes, Sears, Amazon and several restaurants. The current promotion runs from Nov. 28 thru Dec 4.

No Christmas shopping for me, thank goodness! The family is all adults except one child. Her mother is struggling, so will give her cash. We all get together at a nice restaurant for dinner. My dad is 92 yo, so we don't go to his house for dinner, and my sis and brother both have dogs, to which my DH is highly allergic. Going out to dinner makes it easier for everyone.
