How to Save and Use Snags - Tutorial with Photos

To save a snag (or any photo online) to your computer, put your mouse over the snag/photo and right click. You'll get a popup menu. Click on Save Picture As...

You'll get a Save Picture window. This is the time to choose where you want to save the file. Be sure to remember where you put it!

If you have a Photobucket album, or similar online photo album, you can now upload the photo to your album, the same way you'd upload any photo to it.

If you don't have an online album, you can always use TinyPic. Click on the button to Browse...

then go to the location where you've saved the photo. Click on it to select it, then click Open

The file location will automatically appear in the proper slot. Now click the UPLOAD NOW! button:

Depending on your connection speed and the size of the file to be uploaded, it will take a split second up to several seconds. Then you will see your photo, and you'll also see 4 different choices of "gobbledygook" coding

Click in the top choice, HTML for Websites. Just by clicking in that slot it will automatically be "copied" - then come into your post and paste the coding in by clicking into the message area and then pressing Ctrl V -- the shortcut command to Paste. The coding will look something like this:

And your snag/photo will appear in the post when you preview it (and when you submit the post):

If you do use Photobucket, you will also have options as to which coding will be the default to either appear under the photos in the album, or appear when you put your mouse cursor over the photo. Then you'll click into the slot with the coding. Photobucket doesn't automatically copy the coding when you click into the slot, so you can press Ctrl C -- the shortcut command to Copy. Then when you get into your post, you'll press Ctrl V.
