We love them too. In fact, I brought everything today to make a batch of them tomorrow. Yummy.

Love 'em. When I was little, a bunch of decades ago, my mother always had a little bag of them in her purse for when I was restless or she felt I needed a pick-up. I do make really good ones, although I call them 'ginger bends' as they're a little softer and don't snap. I also put diced crystalized ginger in them and that makes them so much better.

My MIL had a recipe for sauerbraten that required store bought gingersnaps as thickener in the gravy. Her recipe is a favorite of her husband and son (my husband). so when I see a bag of 'snaps in a store, I buy and freeze it. I'm not a big fan, but hubby and his 2 sisters love it. I've never made ginger snap cookies.

I like them, too. I use my sister's recipe and they're really good with a pumpkin dip! I like them crispy like the kind you buy--Archway has a really good one, BTW.
