Riley bear will be 4 months old tomorrow...We all love him so much...but I do believe his Mommy and Daddy love him the most!

I decorated the tree today...just for him...I can't wait to see his reaction to the lights! Grandbabies are just the best!

Andy, not sure how large that particular plant gets. Its almost 6" diameter. While I know it clumps, it has yet to do so for me. For now its growing in more of the Dyckia habit. Lisa, hopefully I can get you to eventually show that red all over! -C

Thanks, everyone! The blue was okay but it was my experiment in using a color I'm not usually drawn to, and it never really "worked" for me. (Funny, I am having two rooms painted and both are/were blue.) The Mesquite was a last-minute choice and I'm really happy with it. Today I am off to Home Goods, hoping to find a fun bulletin board for over the desk. I was going to DIY but... feeling lazy. Also going to a consignment shop hoping to find a bookcase for that one blank wall. I have a low bookcase that coordinated with the desk, but I need more storage so looking for something taller. Fingers crossed...

Wow, I love it! Really brightens and lightens things up. When I saw the before pic something triggered in my memory that I know this house, know this person. I had not looked at who posted but thought someone was copying auntjen or it was auntjen. And it is! Isn't it amazing how we can take something as simple as wall color and make all the things we love look that much better?! What I love about this home is that it is so personal yet done so well. Not everyone can pull of what she has.

This is really a walk path, isn't it? Unless you really intend to sit at a desk there, why not build a fabulous integrated bookshelf in that space, one which includes telephone, cable/internet connections, file cabinet sized lowers, and a pull-out desk surface that can be retracted to eliminate clutter. Use a second, simple chair or backless stool that can be pulled about easily and can be used to allow a conversation area when visitors collect here or otherwise as a foot rest for one in the easy chair. He is precious!!

Time sure flies. I remember, when I first came to KT, that you, Glenda, Kat and I talked about our sons/grandsons (we all have only boys). They are all grown up now. You do realize that Kat is now the only one who isn't a grandmother! I could end up being a great-grandmother before Kat becomes a grandmother--and I'm only a few years older than she is.

my boys have literally grown up being part of the KT Wanda...now their 25 and 21...I certainly would have liked to have seen Carson be a little older having his first child...but many have come before him and they've turned out ok...it is a struggle for anyone with a baby but they've got the love from two sets of family so all is well!

Phinny is fascinated with Riley...we're thrilled they'll be able to grow up together...Here's one of Phineas sneakin in for a lick-see!
