Wet! Cool! Pizza, with veggies.

I took some ziti from the freezer last nite and we're having that heated in the microwave along with a dinner roll and a salad.

Rainy drizzly day all day. Yesterday we had glorious weather, what a difference when the sun isn't shining. The leaves are dropping leaves like crazy, they'll be bare by the end of the week, with rain and wet snow in the forecast.

I had to get out on this rainy day to have a mammogram and stopped by the Whataburger to pick up some dinner.

I was not too hungry so it was just a bologna sandwich on a toasted and buttered bun, rainy here right now and most of the day.

Can't resist the buffet last nite: Big salad, 3 kinds of Chinese stir fry, a nice slab of roast beef aus jus, fried chicken, Egg Roll w/hot mustard, bean soup, butter pecan ice cream topped with a dozen cherries and buried in chocolate, some tart thing, cantelope, and of course strawberries in the chocolate fountain.
Today will be light - BBQ ribs, corn, applesauce and chocolate cake.

PB&J. Tired.

Leftover Swedish meatballs and potato salad from our Halloween party.

I had my consultation this afternoon with the endodonist for my root canal. He verified that yes, I do need the procedure. :-( I'll take an anti-biotic for ten days prior to the appointment.

When I got home, I slathered a roaster with oil and herbs and stuck it in the oven with sweet potatoes, carrots, whole onions, and rutabaga. I stuffed the chicken with lemons.

It sure does smell deeeeelicious!

French toast and sausage. Sunday we took my sister to a nearby city university hospital for ambulatory surgery, pacemaker implant on Monday. Surgery was fine but she had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic. She was in agony with burning and itching. Nothing helped and she had to be admitted. We were able to come home today but we are all exhausted, and broke!

Weather here was around 70 and sunny. I didn't get to see much of it; it was dark when I left the office.

DH came home early to pack for an early morning flight and had a very late lunch/early dinner. He forgot to tell me that he'd eaten. I am having a chicken and veggie stir fry with green curry sauce, cooked by DH. I will have plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow since DH is not eating.

Ellendi: I've never had clam sauce but would like to try it. Your dessert sounds so good.

Jim: Pizza, so simple and a good choice on a wet/cool day.

Jasdip: My leaves are all gone. Just called the people who mow here to tell them one more time to chomp up the last leaves. Your meal sounds like a good, basic, meal. One I'd like.

Raven: Glad you could at least pick up your meal if you had to endure the rainy day AND a mammo.

Sue: Never thought of toasting/buttering a bun for my once in a while bologna sandwich. I liked it fried the best.

Old Fixer: I think I'd be a beached whale if I ate your buffet. And today's foods sound just as good.

Deeby: I sometimes give in to a PB&J too. Milk or Coke to wash it down?

Bob: I like your combo. For the most part, leftovers are great!

Rhizo: I wish you the best with your root canal. If I close my eyes, I can smell the good food you're cooking.

Pam: I'm sorry to hear what happened with your sister. My sister experienced the same kind of reaction to dye they put in her veins. She said she was absolutely miserable. I hope all goes well from now on for her. I like what you had to eat today.... breakfast for dinner!!

Kittiemom: Someday I'm going to have to step out of my shell and try something with curry in it. Sounds like you had a good and healthy meal.
