'OH Canada' the Mounties look so cool

Seattle lost one of their best on Saturday. Somebody targeted a police car and shot and killed Seattle Police Officer Timothy Brenton. Officer Brenton - a Field Training Officer - was with Trainee Officer Britt Sweeney about 10pm Saturday when a car rolled up alongside them on 29th and Yesler and opened fire in what SPD is calling a cold-blooded and random assassination. Random in the fact that Officer Brenton was not targeted, but the POLICE were targeted.

Officer Brenton leaves behind a wife and two young children - a son and daughter age 11 and 8.

So very sad. right now they are having a public memorial for the officer. The Seattle PD women's trio just sang the national anthem and the Canadian anthem (which is beautiful). A TON of Canadian officers came down to take part in this, as well as thousands from all over the country. It is simply amazing.

RIP Officer Brent.

Good grief. We seem to live in troubled times. I never know how to accept or what to think about stuff like this. It's just so sad that a family lost their husband and father for another person's folly. What a shame.

This just breaks my heart. So many senseless killings.

Looks like the police just got/shot the "person of interest".

But according to a nationally known gun association, there still isn't enough guns out there, and there should not be any regulation. JUST MY OPINION. Dottie
