My favorite: spinach feta tart, with a cup of white chicken chili and a mini sour cream biscuit/muffin

Cheryl and I had a late lunch from Captain D's. My lunch was the fish, broccoli, fried okra, a bread stick and unsweetened iced tea. My supper will be a piece of pecan pie :) Maybe a glass of milk with that.

After some shopping, we stopped at the Waffle House for a breakfast for supper.

Too busy shopping for last minute things for Thursday's dinner...with snow storm expected for tomorrow, and Wegman's will be a zoo. It was that way today.

So supper was light tonight...chicken soup and buffalo wings.

Chicken stir fry with lots of vegetables and rice.

Last of the leftover tuna noodle casserole. Maybe a salad, haven't decided on that yet.

Italian sausage links over angel hair pasta....butter on the pasta for me.....Italian red sauce for DH. Pumpkin pie & whipped cream for dessert.

A tamale and lemonade.

No breakfast foods after 8am. A fully loaded self rising supreme frozen pizza. Tasty, except they never include Anchovies! The only addition is to splash it freely with hot sauce. Some of the crust rises up quite a bit, and I don't like all the "extra bread". But have room to dig in the candy bowl.

I made a pot of minestrone soup with lots of veggies, garlic, dark red kidney beans, and chopped chicken breast. Grated a little parm on top, which tastes so good.

Glenda: That's one of the meals I've wanted to try. It always sounds so good.

Sue: Don't know which meal I'd prefer, the fish dinner, or the pecan pie. Think I'll choose the pie and milk this time.

Linda: I used to occasionally go to Perkins Pancakes, but have never heard of the Waffle House. Another breakfast for supper.

Monica: I hope the expected snow doesn't ruin your Thanksgiving plans. I should eat very light tomorrow as I'll have two places to go to on Thursday. I'm so fortunate. I'll probably end up with the nickname Butterball that day.

Alice: Your meal sounds very good and very healthy.

Walnutcreek: Isn't it great to cook once, then eat from that for several meals? I like tuna noodle casserole.

Nicole: Never thought of just buttering my pasta. Will try that sometime. Now you have my taste buds wanting pumpkin pie.

Deeby: Do you make your own tamales?

Old Fixer: I think I'll skip the hot sauce. What's in the candy bowl?

Rhizo: Oh, that soup sounds delicious and filling too.

I made blackened bone in thick pork chops, Brussels sprouts in butter sauce, and fresh baked bread.

We had grilled filet mignon, sauteed mushrooms and onions, merlot reduction and lobster mashed potatoes. Our once every six months splurge dinner. He starts working 6 days a week till Christmas so dinners will be quick and light from here on.

I will spend an hour on the spin bike here shortly.

We went to half-price hamburger nightâ¦.I didn't have a hamburger, I had two appetizers instead. A cup of pumpkin soup which was absolutely delish and a crab cake.

I'm so jealous, Shirley. I would love breakfast for dinner but I'm afraid DH is like O.F. on that scoreâ¦no breakfast after 8:00 a.m. I use to love it when the kids were at home and DH was traveling. I would make something like pancakes and sausage for dinner and they thought I was just the best mom! LOL.

Who came up with the idea that eggs and toast or pancakes were breakfast foods? Foods can be eaten at any time of the day. Some people like pizza for breakfast.

Leftover pizza is a favorite breakfast for me. Shirley, it was a frozen tamale from the grocery store and not bad really.

Research breakfast, then tell us? Cold Pizza, steak, spaghetti are good too. German, or European breakfast is lunchmeats, cheeses and fresh rolls. Some restaurants stop serving breakfast at 10am. Others advertise breakfasts all day. So the name has been associated with certain foods for a long time. You choice to eat it anytime.

Last night was Linguine with white clam sauce, salad and garlic bread. Husband could not stop complimenting me on how good that linguine was!

Linguine with White Clam Sauce

This recipe is very forgiving. If you don't want to use clam juice or white wine, just add additional chicken broth.

(Prep Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 20 minutes)

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
6 garlic cloves, minced
3 ý Tablespoons flour
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes(more or less based on preference)
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon each salt, or to taste
1 cup dry white wine
1 (8 ounce) bottle clam juice
3 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams
1 pound dry linguine
ý cup grated Parmesan cheese

Cook linguine according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium low heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté until tender but not browned. Stir in flour. When flour is combined, add salt, pepper and oregano. Add wine, bottled clam juice and liquid from canned clams. Stir constantly until mixture thickens. Add drained minced clams. Add clam sauce mixture to cooked and drained linguine. Add Parmesan cheese and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
