I am going to make a tuna noodle casserole. Cannot find the recipe for the one my Mom made, so I have pictured us making it together the last time and tried to recall what she put in it. I know there was about 2 T mayonnaise, pimientos, about 6 oz egg noodles, 1 can cream of something, 1 can tuna, peas, maybe some onion and bell pepper but not for sure, maybe a stalk of celery, and it seems that she used some evaporated milk. Anyway, wish me luck, please. And, oh yeah, I am going to have fresh homemade bread, in fact have to get it in the bread machine now to make the dough.

We are going to have broasted chicken and mashed potatoes and I don't know what else. Cheryl and Kevin will be picking me up in a bit to go to Amber and Alyssa's to eat.

in my Aroma cooker I have a tomato cheddar sauce plus a little wine, with diced chicken breasts, onions and bell peppers and mushrooms with pasta, will top with some shredded cheese . A good easy one pot meal.
My new cleaning lady was here most of the day and I didn't really want to go dirty anything in the kitchen. LOL

right now I have a choice waiting in the fridge. Chili, Manhattan clam chowder and chicken park. I think I will opt for the chicken and DH can have one of the others. Hey, I'm the one that did all the cooking, I should get first choice. LOL

Munching chips & cheese with Happy Hour. Still below 90 (!!!!!) so that calls for some hot spicy Chili. Then cool off the taste buds with some ice cream.

We went out for lunch to the Mandarin Chinese buffet with our friend who loves to go there. We think it's just "okay" but he likes it so we go with him. I've got a crockpot of onions in the slow cooker going all day for French onion soup and other goodies. It sure makes good use of using up a 10-lb bag of onions. I've filled the slow cooker twice in the past couple of weeks.

I just had a bowl of cereal and some tea for dinner :-)

We're in for a warming trend over the weekend and some rain. All of our snow will be gone. I'm sure thinking of the Buffaloites!!! There will be some serious flooding, I'm sure.

We went out to eat. I had grilled salmon, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra and coffee.

We're going to have breakfast for supper tonight. Ham sausage gravy, stone ground grits, buttermilk biscuits, fresh fruit with yogurt, honey, and orange zest sauce for dipping.

Raven: I like good/easy one pot meals. I'd never heard of an Aroma cooker till you mentioned it on here. Would you mind sharing info on the one you have? I'd like to ck into for myself for in the future.

Gadgets, I have one of the models that has functions for white or brown rice, sautee and simmer, steam, delay timer, keep warm. It's Stainless-Steel. I absolutely love it however they now have one that has one additional setting which is slow cooker, I wish mine had that additional setting.
You can make a full meal in it in a very short time. It's a fast cooker really. I can load my meat and onion and what ever needs to be sautéed, let it do that for a few minutes, then add in the remaining ingredients stir it up, lock down the lid and with in about 30 minutes it is done. if you set it on sautee and simmer it allows you to do the sautee, then when you add the other ingredients and liquids it detects that, then when you lock down the lid it automatically senses when to begin the simmer setting, then it beeps and goes to keep warm. Some things need to sit in the keep warm for a little while.

I actually have only used it to make rice about 4 times. I use it almost weekly to make a full meal from soups to stews, chili, pasta dishes, steamed vegetables and I steam the boneless skinless chicken breast each week that I chop up for my little dogs food.
My sister gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago and I am so glad she did. The slow cooker model wasn't available then. If I bought one now I would get that one.

There's a variety of recipes available now for them but I have made most of mine from scratch and from my sister, she's had hers much longer.

Raven: Thanks for responding to my question? I will keep this info and really think it through before I make a decision. My nickname/username of Gadgets isn't by accident. My grandkids called me that a long time ago because I was always buying first one gadget after another, especially for the kitchen. Of course, many ended up at Goodwill. lol

I may be slow on the take.....but why not use a crock pot?

I was really busy...so made biscuits. Then put a cooked link sausage split in 2 on each one, with cheese & egg. Thought we'd eat them for breakfast...but they were good for dinner. :0)

Because as I said it's primarily a Fast Cooker, I have a full meal in about 30 minutes the exact opposite of a slow cooker. I have several sizes of slow cooker but having all those options in one pot is nice. But I would not give up the Fast cooker aspect of the Aroma.. It's a completely different product from a slow cooker or crockpot. Plus a slow cooker or crockpot do not let you sautee and brown your food right in that pot then add the remaining ingredients in and have it cooked and ready in just a few minutes.
I can wait until my husband gets home from work, go put the ingredients in the Aroma, and have my fresh cooked meal ready in half an hour while I sit down and talk or relax. Using much less power too.
