When you travel...

I take pictures of the places I have been. I keep them, organized, in folders (on the computer for recent ones and print pix from a long time ago).

This weekend, the missus and I went to one of her sister's house and I killed some time by looking through their photo albums (prominently displayed). What surprised me was the number of photos of themselves. The SIL and her hubby went on a business trip to Viet Nam; of the 60 or so photos in the album, at least 45 were of them, not where they were! It was them smiling at the camera, no significant background to tell a story. Most were close-ups taken by the couple they were with. The only thing that they could share were pictures of them, not where they were and what they experienced.

We went on a four-week adventure and have zero pictures of us. I will guess that the viewers will understand that we were there and didn't pay someone to take a picture of the place.

What do you do and why?
