LOL :P halo is a great choice though - I host 8-12 person halo 3 tournaments in my basement, LOL. unreal tournament 3 and street fighter 4 are fanTASTIC too. best multiplayer game by FAR is halo, though, we LOVE halo. you guys should play with me and my friends on live! consider yourselves challenged >:D you should also try elder scrolls 4: oblivion and the first fable game (we don't like to talk about the second one), too, for really gorgeous single player rpg/adventure type games. I've gotten completely immersed in these for MANY hours straight. video games were my first love, before plants; I don't play them as much as I used to but I'll never outgrow them! :P regarding that red ring - it happens to everyone, rigo. it's just known that if you buy a 360, at some point it's going to ring - it's happened to me and everyone I know at least once. it sucks, but microsoft has been really good about replacing them. I did actually fix my friend's out of warranty 360 using the penny trick - you have to open it up (requires tools and knowing exactly where the little latch type things are) and strip it all the way down, and take the board off the back plate. there are these little foam spacers that keep the board off the plate. you take two pennies and wrap them well in electrical tape, and replace each spacer with the little penny package. put it all back together again and turn it on and it usually works :) sometimes you have to do the towel trick to get it to realize it's been fixed - something about overheating it makes it reset so it doesn't think it's broken anymore. hope this helps! :P I'd fix it for you guys if I didn't live over two thousand miles away. Sure. The Wii comes with composite video and l/r audio connections. So any TV with those connections would work. Quality-wise, using the composite video depends on the quality of the 'comb filter' in the display. Look for a TV that has a 'digital 3D' comb filter. It is likely that your older TV has a better comb filter than your newer TV. (Or possibly you need to enable the comb filter via a menu option?) The wii supports s-video. So if your set has s-video connections, the comb filter is bypassed by purchasing a new cable set. S-video cables for the wii cost almost nothing on ebay. On my 10 year old Panasonic TV, which has both a 3D comb filter for composite video, along with S-video inputs, there is little to no difference in picture quality between comb-filtered composite and s-video. Turn the comb filter off, and there are very noticable differences between composite and s-video. However, does your newer TV have 'component video' (separate red/green/blue) connections? If so, it is very worthwhile to buy a set of component video cables for it. Again, you can get them on ebay for next to nothing. And if the newer set supports High Definition, the component cables allow the use of 480p progressive scan. (Be sure to select it in the setup menu.) This is the best you can do with the wii.

It seems to me that you are like two separate families living in the same house. That in her mind, it is "we" meaning her and her son, and "them" meaning you and your kids. Perhaps a counselor could help you and your wife an all of the kids to become a true family, where you are all working together as a family, caring about each other, and all following the same rules. You two need a "good" counselor to help achieve this goal, and for you and your wife to "come together" and parent these kids in a way where you feel you can trust her to be loving and fair with your children, and she can trust you to be loving and fair to Jordan. Perhaps a counselor could help you find ways to unite, such a holding family nights one night a week, where you play a short board game together or play music and sing and laugh together, and spend a few minutes having a family meeting talking about whatever the counselor says would be a healthy way to cover the families upcoming week. Anyway, as I thought about your your struggles, this is the thought that kept coming back to me. To somehow bring you and the children together as one family. I think that is how I would present it to your wife and the marriage counselor. Tell your wife that this is not working for you, or anyone in the house. Tell her that you believe that your marriage, and this family can be so much better, but that you need someone to help you both find your way to bringing this family together as one family, and coaching you both in how to accomplish this goal. Let the counselor help you learn how to handle discipline issues, and learn how to handle these situations in a way that you can both trust each other in this area. You sound like a good father, trying to do the right thing by your children and your wife. I fear that disengaging from Jordan may backfire, as it would seem easier to correct bad behavior now while he is so young, than deal with behavior that is ignored during his youth, and having these issues in a teenager that has never been dealt with.
