you must set it to show BCC blind carbon copy then when you select who to send to select BCC and have the names added there rather than the regular TO and all addresses will be hidden. the BCC field may not show up as default but it will be available in your options, look in the Create Mail window CC function.Click on the icon 'view', then tick 'all headers', then the bcc will appear and never go away again. Re it not being possible that Obama or Obama's people could have known of the charade: at this point, we should have learned to take the *worst* possible thing we can think of, expand it exponentially, and that *might* approach what the truth is. I voted for him and I don't put his office above that at all. He might be able to say he had nothing to do with it, but that could easily mean that his staff took care of it for him. I do agree w/George Lakoff's recent piece asserting that Obama's press conference this week in which he said we "don't know the facts" if we think he's not been urgently involved--WELL, even if he *has* been involved, as a former supervisor of mine used to say, it's not enough to lay the egg--you have to crow about it too. Obama can't just hole himself in and get things done, he owes the country (and the world) communication and a narrative by which we can feel some sense that someone's got control of the situation and it's not spinning out into chaos. That's what a leader does. Not that any of this matters. This is, as pesky pointed out, in no way "Obama's Katrina". GWB must be laughing like a hyena at getting away without blame for gutting regulatory agencies and having the inevitable fallout blamed on the next guy to walk through the door. And finally, in the biggest most depressing picture, it's important to remember BP is not a 'person' by any other definition than that it can donate unlimited funds to political candidates. adding my THANKS for a well written letter...i love getting emails...but I don't really get a thrill of scrolling thru pages and pages of headers...it's not that hard to learn how to erase them Grammahony...just like Uxorial said...put the email in forward or reply mode...then you can edit the body of the email just like you would in a word processing program...left click with your mouse to highlight text...then tap your delete key...voila!! The unwanted text is gone!! or if you can't get that...just tap the delete key over unwanted text...it takes longer but does the same thing!

I watched my elderly MIL decline mentally over a period of about 25 years. Prior to her retirement as a director of human resources for a US manufacturing company, she was smart and capable. But age took its toll on her mind. The signs of cognitive decline are quite subtle, and the person can go for years concealing their illness. That's what she did - she was an excellent liar - and unfortunately, for many years she was essentially living a financial lie. Credit card companies will give you more and more credit as long as you pay the minimum on your bill, which she did. One scam she got caught up in was a phone service. She believed that she had purchased insurance for her telephone lines. If there were any problem, this company that she paid monthly would repair the lines in and outside the house. In reality, she paid $7 or $8 per month for years to rent a cheap phone the company had sent her, besides paying her normal bill to the phone company. My ex-husband had a hell of a time getting her out of this "contract" because they wanted "their" phone back. There were others: someone claiming to represent the local fire department that she gave money to, yearly insurance on jewelry, and I'm sure many others that we never found out about. To believe that everyone should be smart and savvy and able to see through scams just means to me that you have led a narrow life.
