Although I have been there once (and found a wealth of information!), and plan to go again, at this time I have no idea when we'll be going again.

BUT - for something like $6 or $7 per microfilm roll, you can have the microfilm sent out on loan from Salt Lake City to the Family History Center nearest to where you live. It sounds like the 3 records that you want are all on the same roll, so that's the only one you'd need to have sent to your local Center. And, at your local Family History Center, you will be able to make photocopies of the records and/or you can download digital copies to a USB drive (also known as a jump drive or thumb drive).

I've had three rolls of microfilm sent to the Family History Center that's about 10 miles away from where I live. The roll(s) will be "on loan" for about 6 weeks. You can have the loan extended by paying the loan fee again. The last time I was there, it was free to download the digital copies, and just a few cents per page for printed copies.

I was chatting on line with several people at LDS this morning. No one knows where these rolls are or if they are available for loan. the web page I found - after a hundred clicks- says they are not available for loan. I wasn't able to order them. I am going to try at the LDS center near me but I'm not expecting success. If the people on live chat can't help, who can? I was transferred from one department to another with all claiming I needed a different department. And that's when I thought someone who frequents the actual building might know their way around and be able to find these.

Do you just want a copy of what we can see or are you looking for something else?

I have 3 specific people I'm looking for. The formatting doesn't stay if I copy and paste so if you go to the page the columns line up and you can see what the headings say. Two daughters of Daniel D. and Harriet N. Ward are on page 124. Henry is on page 45. I do have the transcript but it's always better to see the original. Daniel has been a thorn in my side for a long, long time. Our small group of cousins has been searching everywhere for more information. Years ago one went to Prince Edward Island looking for birth info and got nothing. Daniel dropped out of the sky! Harriet is from the Mayflower Cook family and she was easy.

I can copy the page into a PDF, but I still am having a hard time figuring out exactly what you want.

I want to see the scanned image of the original document at the LDS building in Salt Lake City, Utah. Transcripts are not always exactly what is on the original document. Humans make errors for any number of reasons. I want to see the scanned image of the original page out of the book that has the information about these baptisims. The source given is microfilm at LDS library so that is where the scanned image should be.

So who has the CHURCH BOOKS? (if the alleged film is not available). I trust transcripts. And still find varied dates and name spellings on official documents. You have to play the game. From what you gave, I did a quick chase on Henry Allen Ward. Look at the image below. Is that how you want to see the data? Simple. In 1850 they lived in Michigan. In 1860 they lived in Missouri. In 1880, Henry Allen & wife lived in Kansas with children and father, age 76. In 1910 Henry Allen & wife lived in Oklahoma. I think Henry Allen died in Chicago, 2 Jun 1916. His father, Daniel (b: 1804) died in Illinois 1880. He is on Find a grave. Good luck.

No, oldfixer. I want to see the baptismal page. I have all the census you quoted. All I want if it's possible to get it, is a copy of the baptismal page out of the church book. That's all I want. I don't need anything else. I've given all the source information I have. If you don't visit the LDS building in Salt Lake then I doubt you will help me.
No genealogist trusts transcripts 100%.

I thought this was such a simple request; giving the name and location of what I wanted. And now I have all sorts of information that I already know and critiques of my research style. I give up. You win. I will abandon this idea.

Ordering Microfilm
The FamilySearch Catalog is available online, and can be searched by place name, family surname, resource title, author, subject, call number, film number or key word. Click the down arrow at the end of the Search field to select the category of information you wish to search. If you find a film youâÂÂd like to view, you can order that film using the on-line film ordering if it is available in your area. For more information, see Ordering Microfilm Online. You may obtain a paper Microfilm Request form at your local Family History Center if on-line ordering is not available in your area.

There is a small fee charged for ordering films and fiche that helps defray the cost of copying and shipping. There is no charge to view films from a centerâÂÂs âÂÂResident Film Collection.â Some Centers offer access to printers and digital scanners at a per-page cost. Check with a FHC Staff member to ask that CenterâÂÂs fee schedule.

Microfilms are typically available at the center for 90 days. Films can become âÂÂextendedâ status films and be made available at that center indefinitely. Microfiche become part of a center's permanent collection (not returned). For more specific information about film ordering, ask a staff member at your local Family History Center.

All microfilm and microfiche must be viewed at the Family History Center where they were ordered. They cannot be transferred to another Family History Center facility, or be removed from the center to view at another location.
