Book Fair today was packed

The crowd was so large, you could hardly walk or get close to authors at their tables. I took Mom along as she has never been to it before, we wanted to meet Tom Batiuk who writes the Funky Winkerbean comic! We are fans but decided not to buy the book of a compilation of the comic. Prices were rather high for all the books. A wide variety of subjects and interesting young authors. We saw people with armsful of books waiting to get them signed. I wish I read as much as I used to.

I have never been to one like that. Only to used book fairs. Sounds interesting

It's one of the best around. Scroll down to the very last headlined article. Sorry to say I only recognized three of the authors' names. Plus some local writers.

Here is a link that might be useful: Book Fair

When an event like this is scheduled it is too bad that they don't use those ropes to make sure everyong gets a fair turn. People seem to crowd in and stay there even after they get the book signed and that in turn denies others their turn. Guess that is why I never go to one.
