I really like making a special breakfast on Sundays.

I had my veggie/fruitie/yogurtie concoction this morning (kale, pineapple, apple, peach, water, Greek yogurt).

Sunday morning? By the time on the post, you barely made it before noon. My coffee, bacon, egg, toast & pineapple was 6 hours earlier. Then a hot bowl of macaroni with cooked tomatoes and Parmesan Cheese. Got hungry for a Ham sandwich. 6 Reese's cups for lunch.

Mr. Fixer, I can only guess that we are in different time zones. I'd just finished eating when I posted. It is just past noon now!

rhizo, I've never been brave enough to have a smoothie. Plus, I don't have a blender. (hehe....that's my excuse. would a hand blender work?) You must have to have lots of fresh fruit and veggies on hand. Are they high in carbs with so much fruit?

No, a hand blender won't work...so you're off the hook, lol. Yes, fruits and vegetables have carbs and sugars....they are high energy foods! They are also loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Yep, our fridge is packed with fresh and frozen produce.

My drinks are delicious, healthful, and a huge boost to our day. :-) I think we got our first NutriBullet a couple of years ago and we are so happy that we did.

I have the same breakfast every morning...high fiber cereal with almond milk. I add fresh blueberries if I have them on hand. If I want a waffles or egg kind of meal, I have it for lunch or dinner.

For years, every Sunday I prepared a big breakfast for my family. It varied little from: sausage or bacon or both; homemade biscuits; fried or scrambled eggs; hash browns; gravy; and orange juice, tomato juice, or apple juice. Occasionally, we would have pancakes instead of the eggs, hash browns, and gravy, but always with homemade apple syrup, as well as maple syrup (not home made).

Those were the days we could afford calories every week.
