Major Thank You

I know that I am blessed and have much to give thanks for, daily. I have enough to eat and my own tiny home and am generally in good health and have a pretty garden, great kids, cute dogs.
But this year I have a major thank you. I found out not too long ago, that I am going to be a grandma!!

What major thank you do you have for this year?

I became a grandma in September.

My health, my friends, my family, my dog, my home and no money worries.

Oh congrats and how exciting for you.

My blessings are too many to even begin counting. I just thank God every day for taking care of me and my loved ones, human and animal, and granting me another day of life here on earth to enjoy everyone and everything around me.

Not having personal experience, but in general, I would really think you want to be very aware of water damage... was the fire put out by the fire department, etc... not only the actual fire damage, but I imagine you might find water damage anyplace below.. If you have an estimate needed to fix, I would at least calculate a worst case scenario and price out how much it would be to demo. the place and build new. Better to do this now than halfway through your renovation, IMO. Good luck! Jay

I spent 10 days in Budapest last year and loved every single second. I think you should spend at the minimum 4 days there. I loved everything! Museum of Terror, The Great Synagogue, the park with all of the communist sculptures, the Market, the Parliament, the Opera House, the Museum of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, and St. Margaret's Island. There's a lot more but those are some of my top picks.

m11675 I was looking for a navyish color for my guest bedroom. Was thinking BM Hale Navy but felt a bit too dark. decided on BM Newburyport. I ordered big samples from https://shop.samplize.com/ . You can order colors from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams and Farrow and Ball. Easy peel and stick so you can move them around if need be. Does not take paint or anything off when peeling it off.

Do you have a better picture of that space? It’s hard to tell what color that paint even is. It looks gold/yellow but that might just be the lighting.

I am thankful that both my DD's have survived breast cancer and are cured at this time and they have had such great support from family and friends and both GD's are putting themselves thru college, working and still able to help out.

Grateful and thankful for my health, my husband and my beautiful children and grandchildren. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I am aware more than ever how much I love and appreciate them all!
Oh, also grateful for the fact that I live in a country that allows me to worship my Savior!

What lindaoh said--too many to count, starting the day I was born. I've lived in one of the very poorest countries in the world, so knowing how others live makes me appreciate even the smallest things. My family, my grandkids, good health and good health care.

Congratulations Lucille!
I too am thankful for my husband, my parents, my three wonderful children, and my grandchildren, (We are expecting number five in February). And of course all of my friends and extended family.

All of the issues listed above, except ...

... youngest offspring hits 50 today - no grandkids ... and the only way there'll be any is if one decides to adopt, I figure.

She's spent most of the last 20 years in AZ ... is at present in Cozumel, where her partner operates a motorcycle rental.

I've been suggesting to friends lately (with a few inches of snow a couple of days ago: nothing like the 8 feet or so in Buffalo and area) that I figure that I should finagle an invitation down there for at least a short while, some time during the next few months.

Lucille that is wonderful news! I'm so jealous, in only the best of ways. (Maybe someday for us......)

I am thankful for my husband of almost 34 years. I'm thankful for my two adult kids Nickolas, 32 and Amanda 27. He calls me every, single day, sometimes more than once a day. She calls almost everyday, and tells every person she knows that I am her best friend. We truly can talk about ANYTHING.

I'm thankful for my brothers and sisters, we are very close. I would do anything for them, and they would do the same for me. I'm grateful for the parents God gave me. I lost them both way too soon, but treasure the time we had together.

I'm grateful for our health. We have been truly blessed with good health, strong families, lots of laughter and some tears that we have had to fight our way through. And I am truly thankful for my faith. God has been so good to me I often wonder why.

katlan, sounds like you have a blessed life....just like me! You actually sound very much like me. I too was blessed with awesome parents that I lost both WAY to young.
Big difference is that my 26 year old son does not call me daily, or even weekly. But that is ok...sometimes I don't want to know some of the stuff he tells me. ;)
