I'm catching a train at noon and going home. Been at my daughters in NYC since Tuesday. I will spend the rest of today and tomorrow getting ready to leave for Florida on Sunday.

Well, it's already 10 and I am not dressed, so I better take care of that first. I have to go over to Mom's to get some leftovers. I was just too pooped from eating and cleaning up to start packing up food. I am going to go over to the college to do the 2.25 walk on their trail to work off a couple calories. I better bundle up, it's chilly! I went for a walk yesterday and my legs were cold. Then my girlfriend and I are going to an estate sale nearby where they are selling a lot of art. We both have been looking for pictures for our houses. We'll see. I am feeling a little broke thinking about upcoming expenses. Leftovers for dinner. That is pretty much it for me!

Our son and his family of five are coming today. Of course they went to her parents on Thanksgiving. I don't really feel very good, big day yesterday but with my husband help I just finished making apple dumplings. Our granddaughter likes them. She is almost 17 and as I told her grandpa she could have chosen not to come. It's a two hour trip each way and they will be going home later today. I'm only having maidrites, don't want to make a big meal. I can rest tomorrow.

I'm in the midst of decorating for Christmas and cannot find some items I purchased in July. I guess I'll tear the garage apart today to try and find them. I could have sworn I put them in the house, but they aren't with the items that I bought at the same time. So frustrating.

It's Cookie Factory morning. Ready to start batch #7 now. SUGAR!! No problem working in the mess of a kitchen fix-up project. Sunny and no cold winds, might have to go for a ride this afternoon.

Still in my ocean view room in Pismo Beach (not good to brag eh?) We will be going into San Louis Obispo today for a craft show, I will see GrandmaBonnie there, excited about that. The we will just poke around the shops and walk around~~then come back here. We leave for home tomorrow;(

We are in Oklahoma, I made lunch for the family pulled pork sandwiches.
Tonight I will be making a big pot of jambalaya.
Tomorrow is our big Thanksgiving meal so I will be preparing some of that today too.
Beautiful weather here today thankfully.

Raven, I love how you love to cook! Glad you got to OK safely and are having good weather.

I have been in bed most of the day but I did get the turkey bones cooked and the meat taken off them and the kitchen back to normal.

Patti43, thanks for the suggestion. I found them in the garage. Good thing that my life doesn't depend on having a perfect memory...yikes!

We went to the mall around noon, and had lunch at Nordstrom's.They had a line for seating in the cafe, and passed menus to those in line, so they could serve when we were seated.
Waitresses came through the line with a tray of small cups of the soup of the day, and a choice of red or white wine to sip. Made waiting not seem to long (it was no more than 20 min.)
Just cruised the stores.

I went to the grocery store, and gosh...there was hardly anyone there...guess they were all at the mall! LoL

Like Jeaninwa I went to the grocery store. It wasn't very crowded either. Got everything I was looking for except ham steaks & chopped dates...

I was awakened by DH screaming for me, one of the dogs had run into the blades of an antique tractor mower in the front yard. Impaled himself, so we spent the day in the animal ER. Many stitches, drains, and a cone we are home and going to bed. Going to be a long few weeks keeping him away from the others.

Oh, Terilyn! I so hate to hear that about your dog. I think I may know the kind of mower you are talking about. My Dad used to have one when I was growing up, it was horse drawn. I so hope your pup heals soon with out any complications.
