I am definitely going to try this. I have been lost for HOURS on pinterest looking for different recipes for Thanksgiving. I think I'm going to try oven roasted sweet potatoes this year instead of the canned ones.

i see it says something about sugar free cake mix... do they have that in the stores ?

I don't know that I've seen sugar free cake mix. But if there is, you know it's got that sweetener that gives you the runs!

I used canned whipped cream cheese frosting, and I don't like it. I scraped it off and the cake is still delicious and moist!

I made something similar but I saw a recipe posted on FB using the same ingredients, the pumpkin, the cake mix, the pumpkin spice and 1 tsp cinnamon. After the cake is baked, cool and then poke holes in it using the end of a wooden spoon then pour a can of condensed milk and refrigerate. I then used cream cheese frosting and scattered Skor bits across the top. It was really good and meant to be shared because it is a lot of cake. The recipe on FB also called for mixing the icing with cool whip, spread on the cake, sprinkle with Skor bits then drizzle with caramel sauce.

My cousin made the same recipe and made muffins or big cupcakes which she baked with sugared pumpkin seeds on top. She thought they would be good with cream cheese frosting in the middle.
