The reason for my answer is because although me and my DH both know how to drive a stick, none of our 4 kids do!

When I was in the Navy, there was story that went around; I doubt that it is true.

The Chief Bosun's Mate was giving a lecture to the deck seamen about checking out tools from the tool locker. He was tired of explaining the function of each tool and he stressed that the right tool be used for the job. All of the seamen nodded and went about their chores.

Later, a seaman apprentice went to the tool locker and asked the bosun for a wrench. The response was classic. The bosun's mate asked what kind of wrench, a box wrench, a pipe wrench, a socket wrench - what kind!! The seaman apprentice answered that it didn't matter, he was going to use it as a hammer anyway!

I'll take back my toilet answer and use 'wrench' as the correct one.
