Does anyone know where u can buy a dickie? I like to put a turtleneck one under my sweaters in this weather, but mine are all getting ragged and can't find them anywhere?

That's correct cwnwv. Lindsey my book covers artists who passed away between 1959 and 2009. Have over 400 entries and as of now 31 photos. If I get these it will put me over 40. Some photos are harder to get while some families are grateful that their loved ones are being remembered. a perfect example is the widow of Cornelius Bumpus. Yes you can,i've done ths for years.Just cut the whole sleeve out,leavng the shoulder seam intact..Then contnue to cut away most of the blouse,leavng just enough on the front to come down over your boobs,but not below them.Then cut away the back,to form a 6 to 8 inch piece.you need these peces left on to keep your dickey from slipping around. Sorry for the late reply, and welcome Maria (I'm assuming you are new?) I'm not a brom expert, but I'll give it a go. Supposedly the most cold tolerant brom if I read right. Most sites say it thrives in dry climates with temperatures as low as 20 degree F. Hates lingering water during the cold season (beware of rot), so a fast drying soil mix would be advisable. During this cold time you should probably take it into the house before it gets dark, just to be on the safe side to avoid colder than usual temperatures and especially the rain. Drought tolerant species, so don't water it too much until it gets warmer. Likes water during the warmer months. A full sun lover. Hope this helps.

I would look at goodwill, or salvation stores... and buy one, and if you really want a dickie, cut yourself one, you really don't need to sew much.

I found a bunch of brand new ones for my mom at goodwill, they didn't know what they were and had put them in the children's shirts section.
