Need to find a moisturizing bubble bath/salts

I added a bit of Burt's Bees moisturizing baby oil to a bath but then realized why I never liked baby oil in the bath: It felt nice, but it's waaaay too slippery getting out! (And my dog's way too small to reach the phone to call for help! LOL!)

Any products I should look at in the drugstore? My skin needs a little TLC for wintertime. I have some Curel Anti-Itch moisturizing cream for non-bath times.

look for the spray-on oil, for after your bath/shower...keri lotion, is heavy. there's a 24 hr oatmeal lotion aveeno...try and keep the temp of the water down..that's the hardest for me..love a hot shower...

i did the oil baths 2x daily once... back when i was MUCH younger and had a skin problem...the dermatologist also gave me a pill..like for allergies...but i had to be very careful in the tub for sure...you know wal mart has a sturdy bath chair i use everyday in the shower...it's very reasonable...

the best result is consistency...i get busy or take a quick shower when we're going someplace and end up with nothing...

Yeah, it's a toughie because baths alone cause dry skin from soaking in the water. I use Aveeno lotion after showering (I rarely take baths), or vitamin E oil if I'm really dry. I've also heard what works well is to use the baby oil after you get out of the bath but while you are still wet, let it soak in for a few minutes, then towel off. You will probably oil up your towels but you could have specific towels you use for when you use the oil. Less dangerous too than slipping around in the tub.

This is completely unrelated but your post reminds me of a few summers ago when we had a heat wave and I had a bunch of friends over for a BBQ. We wanted to make a make shift slip-and-slide so I found a giant piece of plastic in the garage that we laid out on the lawn and hosed it down. Well, we weren't on a hill and it just wasn't slippery at all so we squirted baby oil all over ourselves and the plastic sheet and then went for it. Still wasn't slippery enough but we still had a good time. Still makes me laugh to picture a bunch of adults in swimsuits covered in baby oil and trying to fling themselves down a giant piece of plastic in my back yard. :)

I have let her be so far, Sheila. I’m pretty easy going about such things in general, but my HOA is not. They’re a real pain in the you know what! They haven’t said anything yet, but I’m thinking it won’t be very long. They even send me a letter every year, asking me to remove the “weeds” between my roses out front. I never respond, because they are annual seeds, and before long they are blooming beautifully. Nevertheless, they still send it ever year. To make matters worse, the house is in my family’s name. This means not only do I get a nasty letter, but so do they:( I really hate that! They do understand and visit often, so they know I keep the front yard presentable. I just detest seeing that letter in my mailbox and knowing there are two more just like it in my family’s mailboxes. I don’t mind the wild look at all. I just don’t have a spot to move B.B. to the back, and Antique Rose Emporium’s listing her as a “mannerly climber”, threw me off. I should have known, CA growth syndrome. Lol Lisa

Thanks, another option I came upon at Lowe's (they were selling their $2.68 small houseplants for $.10! - I got 12), was drop clothes. A 2ml thick drop cloth measuring 9'X 12' (108 X 144 inches) was $2.98. The only problem was that although if I held my hand close to it, I could see my hand, the plastic was just a little opaque. Since this is my first time wintersowing I thought I better stick with the completely, absolutely, unquestionably, most decidedly so, clear-clear plastic. They had the same size at different ml thickness. For $1.00 at Dollar Tree, the clear plastic shower curtains were a good deal - they are 70X72 inches. I did look at JoAnne Fabrics but the least expensive clear plastic was $2.99 a yard (would be 36 X 52 inches). There is probably less expensive plastic you could buy at a another fabric store, but for now Ill use the shower curtains and sweater bags. If I hear that very light opaque (almost but not quite clear) is OK to use, I might try the drop cloths suggested by one of the Lowe's employees. I picked up for $2.99 each at the thrift store a rubbermaid container (43 X 19 X 6.7 but no top) and a plastic toboggan for small children (48 X 14 X 4). The rubbermaid container is perfect (it even has wheels) but I think the toboggan may not be deep enough to sow seeds in directly. The toboggan will be useful for keeping together a bunch of styrofoam cups and be able to move them around if I have to. Now off to drill and fill them and the baby bath in preparation for the 21st! I've not seen sea salt crystals in the store, but the salt I already have is exactly the correct size. Why can't I just put it in the dehydrator to dry it out more? The only problem I see with it (besides the pebbles) is that it is too moist, and I can easily remove the pebbles/gravel when I remove it from the dehydrator. I already have way more salt than I need, as I have regular sea salt (which I believe is iodized, and therefore not usable for pickles) and Kosher salt, which I keep in salt pig that my sister gave me. I also have two containers of Margarita salt. What I want to know is how to dry the Colima salt in the dehydrator. What should I put it on? Parchment paper or something more sturdy? Here are some instructions for drying it in an oven, but my oven might be too hot for that. I'm concerned that there might be too much air blowing around in the dehydrator to make that practical. If so, I guess I will just dry it in the oven and hope that it doesn't get too hot. The lowest setting is 250°, and I would keep the convection off. I used the Himalayan salt that I already had the same way I used regular salt. I only use tiny amounts, and so it really doesn't make that much difference.

I can’t recommend a soap because I only use bars and you probably want liquid( I feel everyone always wants liquid) For ragged cuticles, however, I love the Body Shop Almond Oil pen. It‘s so easy to apply, and it is very moisturizing. For full hand extreme dryness best emergency treatment is slathering them at night and sleeping in manicure gloves. Then you’ll be back on track with regular dryness. Then you need a moisture “shield”. Something like “gloves in a bottle” is good and I did learn about it in my candy stripping days, Avon used to make a “shield” too called “silicone glove” don’t know if they still do.
