thats what she said......Just thought I would report to everyone that I just returned from the oncologist and she called me her miracle patient.......5 years from stage 3 B Lung cancer surgery and no sign of it on the cat scan...still in remission......

How to do the math. Dissolve 10 TBSP Miracle grow in 10ounces of water ( which equals 1 TBSP miracle grow to 1 ounce of water). (use hot water to make it dissolve easier. If you want to spray at a rate 1 tbsp/ gallon of water, Simply set the dial to 1 ounce /gallon- which will be 1 TBSP/gallon of sprayer output. whatever you set the dial to will equal that amount of miracle grow per gallon. Should you have the good fortune to speak to the Miracle Grow people, tell them to call me, if they can handle 3rd grade Math, I should be able to teach them how to use their product. If not I have holes that need digging!

Some form of nitrogen will generally help trees in average soil establish more quickly, but a quarter pound of actual N. for a small tree could be damaging to the tender roots, I'm guessing. However, I am not speaking from the experience of this particular mistake- I have only damaged more sensitive plants with surface applications of excessive N- never fruit trees. Depends in part on texture of soil, in sandy soil your are more likely to scorch the roots- especially if the tree isn't mulched. Heavy watering can leach out the fertilizer in a hurry.

Thanks for the heads up about rentals! Good idea. Lynn, we experienced this lack of parts support with our Samsung induction. We've only had it 7 years and when the burners died, we could not get the parts because those models are no longer supported. The tech was on the phone for almost two hours trying to find the parts, which apparently the last were sold a few months back. That coupled with that they no longer make this particular freestanding range model meant we had to get another range. We cook pretty much every day. Frustrating because the oven and everything worked great, so we had to cook without using burners. Our neighbor asked us if he could take it and haul it for scrap, so we said sure. There are not a whole lot of places that keep induction in stock. At Lowe's they would all have to be ordered and take 4-6 weeks! Sears actually does keep a variety of induction in stock (Kenmore, Electrolux, and KA), and I was able to find an Electrolux floor model from Sears for a great price and get it delivered in a couple of days. I'ts great, but it's way more tech than the Samsung, so even we've had a bit of a learning curve on it.

Darn, my Parodia leninghausii died. It was the Miracle Gro soil.

The MG Cactus and Succulent Soil did not allow for sufficient drainage, and the Parodia leninghausii died from becoming just sodden. I had had that plant for years. I guess it must have been planted in another brand of Cactus and Succulent Soil. But all I could get around here was the Miracle Gro. Never again! I cut off the rotten part of the cactus at the bottom and let the remainder sit to callus, hoping I could re-root it. But even the upper part turned out to be sodden and collapsing. I did not water it very much, but that crummy Miracle Gro did not drain well at all. Meanwhile, I added a bunch of Perlite to the rest of the bag of that soil, to the tune of about 50% to improve drainage. I'd like to try this species again in the improved soil. Would anyone happen to have any trimmings or pups from theirs?

Thank you all so much. It brings a smile to my face reading all of the good wishes....I will tell you this though...

she was not happy with the weight I have gained. They pump you full of steroids and stimulants to make you want to eat and I think they overdid it in my case. I finally did lose that round steroid face but the weight keeps getting worse...She told me when I was doing chemo not to worry about the weight...we will worry about that later were her exact words...and now I am 40 pounds heavier and still eating...
