Ham and pickled okra rollups

Never had them before and I had two today!

Looked up recipe and they are so easy to make.

I was hoping you'd check in--how was the wedding? Do tell all!! It sounds like such a beautiful place to hold such a celebration.

And I had to have a serving of the bride's traditional cake and groom's was carrot cake with a big chocolate M (last name initial) on top.

See where you can do ham wrapped pickles the same way. Anyone tried those?

How was the setting? Outside? Sunny? Flowers? etc How were the guests dressed? etc

We do dried beef and pickle rollups here all the time. D'oh ... you can't eat just one!

Glenda, I do the ham and pickle roll ups all the time and they go over well. I use Claussen kosher dills and good boiled ham.

I have a bunch of < 30 year olds that tried them for the first time last year. They scarfed them down!!

I do them with the cream cheese and a green onion,Glenda.

Just using a sliced ham,be sure you dry it off with a paper towel before trying to apply room temp cream cheese. Then just lay whatever you are using for the green, the long way, roll up and slice in about 1" increments

I enjoy pickled okra but don't like the canned okra, it seems too "hairy" in my throat.

Just made pickle wraps for football yesterday. Good stuff! I used the baby dills and beef. Use the soft cream cheese, i lay my pickles on paper towels and make sure the beef is not wet also. Yuuuuuuum!
