Survivor last night.....

Haven't seen any posts about Survivor today....unless I just missed them, which is entirely possible!

Sooooo, what did everyone think? I think John Rocker deserved to go home because the idiot didn't play his idol. That blonde chick even gave up the plan and he didn't play it. I think the two girls need to go next. I hate that worthless people are kept around.

And again this week, what's with all the crying???? Oh, and DH commented..."so what, now they get a machete on Exile Island?" They are getting soft with these contestants, haha.

I got the impression (probably wrong) that John Rocker didn't realize it was a hidden immunity idol. He just took it because it thought it might come into play at some point. Then again he has such a huge ego he probably thought he wouldn't be voted out. I'm glad he's gone.

It wasn't a regular Survivor "game on" show. They just showed some extra footage and some more in depth interviews with the remaining contestants. Survivor competition returns on Thurs. April 2nd.

"So now Julie can take her DDs and run into the warm arms of her creepy boyfriend. Sheesh, what a fool. It's Survivor. You are going to be cold, wet and hungry!!!" It REALLY irked me when she whined about how she'd been away from her boyfriend for three weeks. Boo hoo! I sat there and screamed at the TV, "Oh, yeah? Well what about all of the men and women in our military who are away from their entire families for months on end? And some of them never get to come home!" "I wonder if she'll make the jury?" No, there are too many of them left for there to be jury members now. And in the past when someone quit at a time when the person voted out would be on the jury, Jeff said that when a contestant quits, they don't deserve to be on the jury -- they are out of the game. (And, personally, I think that's why they like to have three finalists now --- the jury is supposed to have an odd number of people [from when there were only two finalists] so that there won't be a tie vote. But with three finalists, it doesn't make a difference if the jury is odd or even [unless it's divisible by three].) "She was not into the game the only reason she would ever consider it was because of her jockhead boyfriend. He has probably found another one while she was gone and that may well be what she was afraid of." When contestants are voted off, they are sent to another location where they all stay together. No one comes back to the USA until the final votes have been cast. So, John wouldn't have a chance to hook up with anyone else, unless he hooks up with another contestant who has been voted off.

"Fabio surprised me with his little tirade about not going to reward." Fabio and Chase had had a talk earlier in the day wherein Chase promised him that he'd take Fabio with him on the reward if he won. And Fabio promised that if he won, he would choose Chase to come along. Fabio and his mother live in different states and only see each other about twice a year. As Fabio said, Holly and her husband live together, so it wasn't as big a deal for them to get to go on the reward as it would have been for Fabio and his mother. And before you bring up the fact that Holly and her husband spent their 25th anniversary apart while Holly has been playing Survivor, it really wasn't much of an anniverary reward for them if they couldn't be alone together doing the horizontal mambo. "According to the spoiler boards there was a lot that went on during tribal that wasn't shown. Jane accused Sash of something that he denied. The cameras were turned off for a while while it was discussed." I doubt the cameras were turned off for any discussion during tribal council. It's a well-known fact that those tribals usually last around and hour and a half to two hours, and have been known to last even longer than that. It's just that it's always severely edited to make it seem like it's only 15 minutes or so.

I think Russell has been smart in lots of ways. But he has been really stupid to say that everyone is sooooo stupid. I think that alone will work against him in the end. Don't the members of the Jury get to watch all the previous shows and see what everybody said? If Shambo gets voted off and sees how he talked about her and how it was all such a big fat lie, she'll do everything she can to make sure he doesn't end up with the money when it comes down to that. I laughed when he put that idol around his neck at council. Mostly because Monica had already made a real a-hole of herself, like she thought she was in power and wouldn't be booted off. REALLY a stupid move on her part. Jaison and Mick will have to make Russ think he's going to get voted off so he'll actually use that idol. But Russ is smart and he'll figure all that out. If they get everyone to vote for Russ and he uses the idol, then he'll be the deciding vote for one of them at that council and will probably go gunning for the other at the next council. All Russ has to do in preparation for the next council is to act cocky and over-confident and they'll all get so mad, they'll all vote for him, and then he votes out whoever he wants. This is truly the best Survivor series I have ever seen.

I'm glad he went home, too. He knew he had an idol, Lindy. Just thought he didn't need it. His girlfriend will probably pay for his bad behavior.

They got really rough in the immunity challenge.

I think they're more emotional since their loved ones are there, katlan. I've also noticed that they have more resources available than when the show first started.

He knew he had the idol~~as he walked away he even said somethingabout getting voted out with an idol in his pocket. He was just way too cocky! Dang~~that other twinie can throw down with her mouth verbally attacking Rocker.

I am thinking his GF may be seeing him in a different light now~~hope so he looks like a bully.

I still do not see the point of 'Exile Island'??

I don't see the point of Exile Island either. And remember how it used to only be one person going? That must have been too hard to handle, so now two go.

They really don't show much from Exile Island. I guess the perks are getting the clue, possible gossip or future alliances.

Didn't John's girlfriend tell him to "stop it" when he was getting into it with her tribe? I was uncertain on who she was directing it to. I am happy he left.

I though it very touching when father and son had the bonding moment at reward challenge.

I like this season!

Yes, matti5 she did tell John to stop it, she said he was going to make it harder her~~now when she finds out he was voted out, she can maybe relax a bit. I wonder if she will be his GF by the end of the game??

I think they use Exile Island to make things more difficult for the person/people sent there, taking them away from the conniving and plotting and alliances. Plus, by putting them there with someone from the other tribe, they plant seeds of doubt in the tribe, making them wonder if new alliances were possibly formed. (As evidenced by Rocker's admission that he swore and tried to help Val because Val's husband said he'd help Rocker's GF. That upset his tribe members, learning that.)

I think Natalie had a lot of nerve going off on Rocker like she did over hearsay from a bitter man, Rocker never said or did anything to her and she was a like a crazed person. I guess she needed to go off on somebody and he was it.
