Your supper sounds pretty good Shirley. We are celebrating grandson's 9th birthday tonight. Baked ham, mashed and French fries, salad, acorn squash and applesauce. I bought sparkling apple cider. I like to make their birthday meals special. How do you keep your turkey burger from being dry?

Friend treated me, as she had a gift card. I paid the tip.

I had their 6 oz steak, medium rare, mushrooms and a tossed salad.

I must live in Ohio, Shirley; that is exactly how today was here as well. It's drizzling now, has been for most of the afternoon, projected t-storms.

I made Zuppa Toscana soup to use up some kale. Try as I might, I can't get hubby to like kale. I loved this soup, so I'll make another batch again to use up more kale, and freeze it.

I had some leftover turkey and carbonara spaghetti for dinner. I've been nursing a sore tooth or gums. It hurts to drink and eat anything hot or cold on the right side.

I had full pulmonary function testing and it gave me a headache. So I will make hubby grill steaks and I will throw a salad together.

Sun and clouds and mid-60s. A bit of moisture around dawn, just enough ot make it too wet to do anything in the gardens.

Roasted a turkey on Saturday (it had been on sale). Made turkey pot pie with veggies from the garden and Bisquick Heart Healthy mix.

A simple delicious B-T. (No "L" tonite.) Gobbling cookies before a nice bowl of ice cream smothered in chocolate and nuts.

That's a good idea Jim. I roasted a turkey as well (on sale). A pot pie sounds perfect using the leftovers.

I made an apple pie on the weekend, and I don't feel like making another pie crust for the pot pie. A pie crust is very labor-intensive for me, some people can whip up 1/2 dozen in the time I struggle with one.

A cheese sandwich and chips. And of course, a Coke !

Pam: Your supper sounds great too. I like baked ham. I use 93% ground turkey. I fry it for about 3 to 4 minutes per side (depends on how thick they are) and use a thermometer. Remove from stove at once. Let sit for several minutes. Sometimes even then they can be dry.

Glenda: You got to eat one of my favorite meals and it was practically free. Good for you.

Jasdip: Sorry to hear your tooth/gums are sore. I wouldn't mind sharing your meal. (I still haven't tried kale)

Raven: I hope your headaches soon goes away. It's nice you have someone to help with cooking. It's a favorite of mine ... steak.

Jim: I surely do wish I had a piece of your pot pie. Sounds great.

Old Fixer: As long as it has bacon, I'll love it. Also wouldn't mind some of the ice cream.

We had leftover baked salmon from yesterday sliced over a big, fresh salad. So good.....better than last night's first edition, I think.

I still haven't made my first batch of hot soup, yet. It's hard to get real enthused when the temps are still in the mid eighties. :-(

DH and I went out for Thai last night. He had a grilled steak with a tasty chili/lime sauce and steamed veggies. I had pad kee mao, which is similar to pad Thai. And I had enough left over for lunch! We also shared a bowl of my favorite tom kha gai soup.

Still very busy around here, I made cream of potato soup for all of us and then we had a pizza and bread sticks the kids brought in.
