Pork chops, with a rub, then sauted in olive oil, with scalloped mashed potatoes, and peas. As you can, so no mojo. Not healthy either! I gotta say halibut with garlic/butter sauce, that sounds good.

Both of the above meals sound scrumptious. Your husband will no doubt be happy, Angelaid.

I am trying another new recipe tonight. Tried one last night, a salmon loaf. The recipe will be deleted from my files, it was dreadful. Now, tonights will be different. I've already sampled it and it is a keeper. Crockpot Spanish Rice. And it came from our very own Patti43 posted here two years ago. I will add a side salad and it will be enough.

Spinach feta tart and a blt salad with spinach! A delicious sour cream mini biscuit/muffin.

We will just pick at leftovers. Going away tomorrow for a couple of days.

It's still afternoon here but I'll have a can of chili. Last night's Stouffers creamed spinach was awful-sweet and thick and kind of gross. I love beans and would like to learn to make my own really good chili. I could make a Dutch oven full and freeze some. It'd have to be vegetarian but I'll bet sauteed mushrooms could masquerade as meat.

Shirley I make Patti's Spanish rice in the slow-cooker as well. I cut down on the hamburger and use more rice, hubby loves it.

We just finished sausages in sauteed onions and cabbage. A fresh farmer's bun to go with it. I also took out a couple slices of lemon cake out of the freezer to have later.

Just got in. Met some of my golfing buddies for a late lunch/early dinner. I was too tired to play golf (just got back from California last night) So, no dinner tonight. I'm sure that's fine with DH since we've been eating, eating, eating the last week. Time to go on a diet.

I am exhausted, I taught Android tablet class today and it was long. I would love a nap.
So hubby is going to pick up dinner, not sure what he will show up with, I said food he said OK. Lol

Hit the casino after work. Picked up $10 in a few minutes and left. Some juicy red tomatoes on the counter, and Happy Hour is pointing to a delicious BLT. Can sample some M&M's, cookies, and a banana split later.
Dee, chili is simple to make. Cook up your veggies (onion, carrots, celery, mushrooms, green pepper, garlic), dump in the tomato sauce, add beans of any kind, then season with lots of chili powder and hot sauce. Easy freeze. Top the servings with fresh diced onion and grated cheese. 30 min max.

Easy dinner tonight, the last three days have been really busy. We're going the two hours to Mom's in the morning to clean her gutters and I can do her bed linens, some other things.

Small ham steaks and French fries. A vegetable of some kind, whatever is in my freezer that my hand finds first. That's it, it's going to be fast. We'll take Mom out some where tomorrow and can treat ourselves, overeat then ;)

A re-do of last night's dinner will be on our table tonight. I cut off some slices of chicken and made a hefty sandwich for Robert and put it in a salad for me. I also reinvented the mashed buttercup squash into a soup by adding more broth and some cooked onions.

hit arby's on the way back from dgd's cross country race...usually thurs is some sort of pasta night...

at least she didn't have to run in the rain like tues!

DH is still away on business. I picked up a frozen individual Mexican pizza at TJ's for me.

I made Fathead pizza, for the first time, it was delish. The crust is made from mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, egg and almond flour, baked, then topped like normal, except I pre-cooked the toppings. OMGosh, it was so good, served with a side salad. And enough leftover for dinner tonight, too!
