I just found it on my desktop today. It won't let me delete it or put in recycle bin. I looked it up but the plan they have doesn't work.

Anyone else have this problem?

This is what it said:

To solve the issue First close your browser. Then Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Find Google Talk Plugin in this list of programs. Right click on it and click on Repair. It will start the repair process. After the process is over restart your computer.

*I don't see any google talk plugin in my computer

Maybe update your virus and malware programs, then have them scan your computer for something off?

try looking in your browser it may be a browser plug in?
I am not familiar with it. Do you have google talk did you install it or did it come with your pc?
What exactly is is on your desktop is it just a short cut? Right click on it and view properties.

this is what google says to do which it looks like what you have done
Uninstalling the voice and video chat plug-in

try this in your browser
type the following in your url address bar

about:plugins

all plugins will be listed find google talk

disable google talk.

Hi Cboy...it is Photography voice...they have been going thru some updates, too...that was also about the time I installed capture nx a program that came with my camera...I thought maybe that had something to do with it, so uninstalled it to see if it make a diff...The site just keeps saying that about not a jpg...That was just a fun site...I may have to move on...;(

Luis, I'm going to offer you an alternative approach. Debugging hardware/software problems and conflicts can involve a lot of frustration, hocus-pocus, system and driver checking and updates - tasks that can be a challenge for someone without a technical background. What I would do as a shortcut alternative is to try to "Restore" to a date back in time before when the problems started. If that doesn't fix it, I'd then backup all important files and reinstall Windows/do a Recovery. If that doesn't fix it, I'd chuck the machine and replace it, life is too short to spend it repeatedly hitting your head against a wall. . If getting a replacement is unaffordable for you right now and you feel like a challenge, go ahead with the website suggested and try to negotiate the maze. Good luck.

The problem is a corrupted area of the hard drive. The remedy is to run chkdsk /r If you can't run it within Windows, try Safe Mode. If that doesn't work, run it from the Recovery Console. Any more BSOD's while doing the above and you need to save as much as possible and do a clean install.

I don't see any google talk at all.

I tried the about:plugins and it didnt take me anywhere.
I dont know what to do

I got rid of it, I changed the name of it and deleted it. Or... its gone because of disabling one of google's items.
Just as long as its gone!
