It was early morning and this monarch did not move for at least 30 minutes. It was chilly and it needed to warm before flying.

Nicole, I called the cat ET. :-) Your Photoshop skills are excellent! Don't sell yourself short. I just left my design job of 6+ years and because I had everything I needed on a Mac at work, all I have is a 12-year old version of Photoshop on my home computer. I stumbled onto this website the other day that shows pictures of a Polish Bread Basket -- also known as Tatza It was so cool that I had to try making a smaller version in reed. I have willow soaking now to make a larger one. :)

This weekend I went kayaking and saw a snake swimming across the water in front of me. I followed it to shore and got a couple of pictures of it. I have since made an effort to identify it and it seems pretty certain that it is a copperhead.

yikes, Bob! My brother moved from NY to SC and his first time out fishing had copperheads swimming after him. Not good. lol!

It's a dark and rainy day... here are my four lazy bums. :)

So, you were at Turner Falls, OK. If its the palce I am thinking of, it is very nice and located in the Arbuckle Mountains of Okahoma. Most folks do not think of "mountains" and "Oklahoma" together, but there it is! The Arbuckle Mts are ancient, possibly older than Appallatia, hense its peaks have worn down to low lying, rounded points, at least that is what the geology books tell me. Turner Falls is a delightful place. I was there once in 1955.
