A pumpkins and math quandry

I've never been especially good at math, but tell me if this sounds right.

If you take the circumference of a pumpkin, and divide it by the diameter of the pumpkin, you will get Pumpkin Pi?

Yes...and if you then multiply that number by itself the pi will be square.
