Watched it - and loved it!

Im, so glad that you enjoyed it, hoovergal! Isn't it something to see the eyes and faces of these people as the stories of their ancestors were told, page by page?

Stephen King was a little hard to read; he keeps his emotions behind closed doors, that's for sure.

I'll look forward to it every week.

love that show, it was great last night.

We love the Ancestry-sponsored show Who Do You Think You Are? so we watched Finding Your Roots last night. Hadn't heard of it before I saw it listed and advertised a couple weeks ago. Surprised to find out this is its second season.

It was a good show for the most part. I think WDYTYA is better in one way because the "subjects" get to do the traveling to the various countries of their ancestors and look through the archives at the original documents. They seem to show a lot more emotion that way, too.

What we didn't like about FYR is the host and the way he spoke to and "instructed" the folks, like when he was showing Courtney Vance his father's birth certificate.

But, we'll continue to watch the series.

Dadgum, I forgot to watch it. I hope they will repeat it, as they often do...even if it is late at night.

Don't care for it. And why always famous people? To peak your interest? An ordinary person would appreciate the effort a lot more.

I believe the show is free to watch if you go to PBS on the computer and look it up. I watched it this morning on my computer! I loved it!
