That sounds good!

Pizza! I've been dying for pizza and saving my calories for it. Also don't typically buy it because it's so freakin' expensive. Son just texted me and I had fun with him about it. I'd texted him earlier saying I have a song stuck in my head! (believe it or not, SchoolHouse Rock's Boston Tea Party):

"Yay!"

"Yay! for what, singing? or did you know I've already bought dinner for tonight?"

"Singing. What's for dinner?"

"Guess"

"Crescent dogs?" (I need to make him some of those he's been wanting them)

"Domino's doesn't have hot dogs"

"Woohoo!"

I have a slow cooker full of red beans with smoked Cajun sausage and I have rice cooking, so red beans and rice for dinner yummy.

Today was hubby's cataract surgery! He said "It was a blast!!" LOL

It's only been a couple of months since he's had the cataracts but they are fast-moving and definitely getting worse and worse. He feels re-born today. The other eye is getting done Oct. 3 (he can't wait)

Tonite was hot-beef sandwiches, topped with peas. A frozen hash-brown patty as well.

Cheryl and I visited with daughter Terri this afternoon. We picked up lunch at Hardee's and took out. I had hot ham and cheese. So this evening I just had a cup of yogurt. It has been partly sunny today but fairly pleasant out.

It began raining about 7:00 a.m., right after my walk. The rain gauge now shows just a bit more than one inch. It was supposed to get into the 80s, but it is not even up to 75. More rain for the next 36 hours, with a flash flood watch.

THEN...the big change. Beginning Thursday, the highs will be in the mid-60s and lows into the 40s. Gotta start prepping plants to come inside.

The missus is still under the weather, so I keep making small portions. I have some veggies and left-over pot roast. I'll make a beef stir fry with some brown rice.

Was just going to have a salad, but Rob's pizza sure sounds good. I haven't had pizza in a good long while so think I just might go that route. Not domino's but I have a frozen one in the freezer.

We had a beautiful sunny and temperate day today. For dinner we had chicken breasts marinated in hoisin sauce, cooked outside, tossed salad, garden tomatoes and rice. Homemade brownies for dessert. Very good. Shirley, I spent much of today with my sister and taking care of her stuff. Tomorrow I will make chicken salad for her with our leftovers.

Beer & Ice Cream, again, Dentist recommendation (?) after an extraction. Hate those needles! Yanked this morning then back to work. He was concerned because of my blood counts, but no problems. Did need to start doubling up on Tylenol, and booze for Happy Hour. Should be fine for a good nights sleep.

Very busy day here so dinner will be quick/easy... just picked up some sweet corn and will have that with pasta and roasted garden tomatoes. Hope it's good!

Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes. Getting tired of potatoes, but you just can't salisbury steak and gravy without them. I'm pretty sure it's a law!

hamburger steak with grilled onions,, blackeyed peas, Mexican cornmuffin

Cream of celery soup, potato patties, and a glass of limeade. Well, it all tasted good!

Rob: Sounds like you have a good relationship w/your son. I hope you enjoyed your pizza.

Raven: Red Beans and rice. Thanks to the dinner thread, I had my first taste of it and now it's on my list of foods to fix.

Jasdip: I hope he continues to do great. I really like the hot beef sandwiches. Never had them with your sides, but I bet I'd like that too.

Oh, Sue, there you go again. Every time you mention hot ham and cheese, I get hungry for one.

Jim: Your weather starting Thurs will be the same as us. I wish your wife was feeling much better. The meal you're making sounds very good.

Georgysmom: There are days when pizza just hits the spot. Mine are always from the freezer.

Pam: I'm glad you can help your sister. I must ck out hoisin sauce. I almost always have chicken breasts in the freezer. Chicken salad is a very good way to use up the leftovers.

Old Fixer: Oh, what a combo!!! Hope your mouth is okay, with no problems.

Party: Years ago I could make my entire meal just on fresh corn and tomatoes. Sometimes I'd add fried potatoes.

Angelaid: You better believe it's the law about mashed potatoes with salisbury steak. I wonder how Stouffer's gets around that law when they add mac n cheese instead.

Glenda: Leave off the onions and I'll have some of the same. Really like the sounds of the Mexican corn muffin.

Atlantic salmon broiled with orange sauce and capers, boiled little red potatoes, and asparagus spears steamed and simmered with sea salt in Wegman's basting oil.

A bag of chips. It just felt right at the time :)
