I've used Windex sprayed on a paper towel first, but I'm not sure that's the right thing to do. Any thoughts?

I use my gel hand sanitizer on this laptop. Works great, and the laptop is about 5 years old.

I've never used a paper towel, I'm scared of scratching the LCD. I just googled and they say to stay away from windex etc because they contain ammonia. The best bet is plain distilled water and a soft cloth. I always have distilled water on hand as we use it in the iron.

Yeah, I've got loads of them but they're currently behind a lot of construction "stuff" as we're remodeling our kitchen. I'll find something, though. Maybe one of dh's handkerchiefs.

We use the wipes that we get to clean our eye glasses. Polish glasses first....then screen (or some other electronic device).....often.

I never use any cleaning liquid on the screen. I'll save a "used" dryer sheet after my laundry is done, and use that to wipe off any dust. The electricity in the screen seems to attract a lot of dust.
