This is an old post, but I have this same washer and we have figured out how to run loads that need more water and straight hot water. It's a little bit of work, but for the size of the tub and other features of this washer that we like, we think it's worth it. Here are the steps we go thru for towels (or anything we think needs more water and hot water straight from the tap): 1) Place towels in tub. Do not add soap or bleach. 2) Turn to towel setting, cold water and let fill up just enough until towels are soaked. 3) Put on Spin only and wait until water drains out, then stop it. Don't let it spin the towels dry - just enough for water to stop pumping out of drain and where you don't hear any water still sloshing in or under the tub. 4) Turn off the machine and wait 30 seconds. While waiting, add soap and bleach if desired. 5) Turn on machine, set to Sanitary. Push Start. Since the towels are now wet, they are heavier, so the machine will fill it with more straight hot water. Once the level of water is reached and the machine starts agitating, wait about 5 minutes. 6) Pause machine, change cycle to Towels, Hot water and whatever other settings you want. Push start. The water level will be maintained and the wash will be hot. Sometimes, if it isn't a lot of towels, once you switch it over to towels, it may add more cold water. I haven't had it do this if I let the sanitary wash for at least 5 minutes before changing the cycle. I do large loads though, so there really isn't much room to add more water anyway. We only have to mess it with when we want tap hot water. I have never washed an entire load on sanitary where it heats up the water. Mainly because our hot water is hot enough and I also don't want to wait 2+ hours. Hope this helps the OP or anyone else that has this washer. We have been very happy with our so far. My MIL has the SQ, but says it agitates too fast for her delicates. Other than that, she loves it.

I decided to paint some old boards over old colors that are light and neutral with the Aura Satin paint I have here in the quart and the BM Regal Pearl Finish paint in the SW Antique White color (not for the color but for the finish/shine). I really like painting with the Pearl Finish paint and the VOC count and drying time is so much less than the old formula. I know I will not be doing the painting but it is such a nice paint and really covers well. The Aura Paint I can not paint well with and I know a painter would have to be very skilled to paint with it. I will see how I feel when both boards dry but so far my feeling is that despite wanting to go lower VOC, I may just stay with the BM Regal Paint in the Pearl Finish since it is so nice and rich on the walls without too much of a shine. The Satin is definitely shinier than the Pearl. I do not like Eggshell or flat paint so I have decided to not try out the Aura Eggshell finish. I am going to have to air out the room due to my preference for finish over VOC count. If I would like an eggshell finish, I would go with the Natura.

I agree - really cool stories! How refreshing to have a thread where people actually like their snakes and stick up for them! I am so tired of people being so freaked out by snakes and killing them at the drop of a hat. I've had folks kill them and bring them for me to ID and I'm always so sad. If you don't know what it is why kill it? It is really true - they are more afraid of you than you are of them ... they only want to get out of our way and back to a safe place. Except for maybe Sam who seems to enjoy hanging out with dirtygardener. lol I have lots of black racers and also use Craftsman black garden hoses. I have reached down to pick up a hose and have it be a black racer about three times now. Nearly gives me a heart attack ... and the snake too ... they leap straight up in the air and take off like a shot. My black racers are always grumpy. But, I do have little browns, ring necked, and pinewoods snakes that let me carry them around and enjoy their beauty and company. Here's one of my black racers hanging out by the hose. This was right after the last freak out so I was checking and spotted him so went and got the camera. Keep up the cool snake stories ... it's very fun reading. :)

I had to share this photo of Lyon's Red Rocket - bought it at a local AV show last November. It's window grown, as are all my plants. It shapes beautifully, and even though the flowers are large with multiple blooms on each stem, they hold their heads up high. This one is fast becoming one of my very favorites.
