Can you get your money back? I wouldn't like that perfumey smell either. What is it made of?

There are some lighter weight products on the market already. It seems to me that the kitties track more of the lightweight stuff.

Lucille, I agree with you regarding the lightweight litter. It's definetly lighter, but I was constantly cleaning up the tracking mess everywhere. Won't be using that again!

I recently tried litter with a guarantee of 7 days. It certainly did not work with my cats, plus it was expensive.

Tidy Cats seems to work well for my cats and my wallet as it is always on sale somewhere.

We usually use Tidy Cats as well. I have to be careful about the smell. Some of them have such a strong perfume smell that they actually make me feel sick.

you may want to try World's Best cat litter brand. It's made from corn and comes unscented (as well as multi-cat and some scented ones). I loved it and so did my cats, all of whom have now passed over the rainbow bridge, sadly. But I do highly recommend this brand of litter. Amazon carries it...

Hi. I absolutely detest perfume-y cat litters. We used Ever Clean ES Unscented for years (from the time it came on the market), and found it to be the absolute best litter at neutralizing litter box odors (we tried a few others over the years). However, most boxes of Ever Clean were so overly perfumed, that I'd call the company to complain (nothing ever changed though). Our cats would come out of the litter box, reeking of "cheap perfume."

At the recommendation of a local pet supply store, we tried Dr. Elsey's Ultra Precious Cat Litter. Not only is it really and truly (!) unscented, and totally fragrance-free, but it is much cheaper than the Ever Clean, and is available in 40 lb bags (also a smaller size as well, I think). It creates much less dust than any other we've tried--an added bonus! It does a decent job neutralizing odors. Not quite as good as Ever Clean with poop smells (slower to neutralize), but still okay.

Whew! I just priced the World's Best Litter on Amazon, and it's $82.50 for 3x 13lb bags. We like Costco's price at $8 for 50 lb and others similarly priced.

We've always used Tidy Cat Multi-cat Clumping Litter and are satisfied with it.

I used to use the corn based or the paper based as recommended by my vet. Both are very safe for kitties and for me too because I would have asthma attacks with those clumping ones horrible stuff.

I saw huge bags of the corn type at the tractor supply farm store they use it in animal stalls so check at farm supply stores it is the same stuff but way way cheaper! They were at least 40lb.

I asked the man in that dept if the corn kind was the same thing as the cat litter kind he said sure is comes from the same place.

I've tried the lightweight and the corn product stuff...did not like either one.

I have absolutely no sense of smell so I just try to use what works best for me and the cats. The cats will let me know when I've chosen the wrong one..one way or another. :)

I do try to avoid any litter promoting extra fragrances, etc. because I've heard most cats don't appreciate it either.

No problem here.

My barn cat has a whole yard and garden to scrape, do and cover to her heart's content. Or the dirt floor in the shed if she dislikes going out (not so nice in the barn: concrete floor).

No cans, boxes, bags or litter about which to be concerned.

No smell, whether perfumey or otherwise.

Suits me.
