I'll define "memory" as repeating a learned behavior at some point after the behavior was learned. Therefore longest memory would be repeating a learned behavior the greatest amount of time after learning the behavior.

My answer is Parrot. I think they live as much as 100 years and it is relatively easy for them to demonstrate "memory" by speaking. As opposed to a giant tortoise which can live almost 200 years, but how could someone the tortoises actions are demonstrating memory.

Tortoise didn't top the list, so maybe you're right, how can you determine if they are demonstrating memory?

Ya know turtles keep going back to the same spot to lay eggs. That's good memory. Out in the water most of the year and yet she can find that same stretch of shore to deposit her eggs.
