It sounds awful! I guess we all perceive the taste of food/beverages differently. Some people love cilantro, some hate it.

Just for the record, here's another you won't like: Yogi Stomach Ease. It probably is helpful for stomach troubles, but it tastes awful. If you think of it as "medicine" not "tea" you'll probably be ok.

Why is it that some teas (decaf and regular) have a fishy off note to them?

I do love sweet/salty as in chocolate or popcorn. Some things just don't translate well.

Side note: I used to drink Snapple. They put out limited addition juices. One was apple pie with crust! It was amazing. You actually tasted apple pie and the crust. Not sure if they ever put this out again as I no longer drink Snapple.

Yuck! You need a 'stash' of dark chocolate on hand to pop into your mouth and wash away that icky tea. (I could have given you a Frango Mint out of the little box our HVAC company gave us...last Christmas! LOL)

Believe me, I do, Chisue! I usually chip away at a bar of Lindt's Extra Dark 85% cocoa. (I tried the 90%, but that was too much.)

Mate smells and tastes like lawn clippings to me - much too grassy.

As far as foo-foo varieties of tea and coffee/coffee drinks are concerned, I dislike them all. If you don't like the base flavor, adding extraneous flavors won't make it any better.

If you like mate, drink it! And salted caramel is to chew on!

I can no longer find my favorite Stash tea, green tea with jasmine. But a tea that tastes like fish??? Ugh!

I pretty much stick to reg. (ice) tea .

I had been buying Red Diamond tea with Splenda in a gallon jug. Then my daughter told me about Walmarts Good Value tea.

The teabag comes with the Splenda in it. It makes 1/2 gal of ice tea.

The Red Diamond Tea was $2.48(maybe more) a gallon.
the box of tea bags is $1.38. I can get several gallons for that $1.38. I can't remember how many right now. I keep my tea bags in a jar and I've thrown away the boxes.

I like salted caramel ice cream and found a greek yogurt that's salted caramel and tastes good to me.

PayDay candy bars are salted nuts on caramel. Dumb not to take the box back for a refund/exchange.

It's not nice tell people they acted in a dumb manner, Old Fixer. I bought the tea on sale at a health food store owned by a friend of mine. The amount of money was trivial, and I saw no reason to stick him with even a small loss. So I didn't return the tea.

I have drank Stash teas in the past and liked them~~I bought one just recently and it tasted off~~I think it was the bag it was in~~it tasted like nasty tea bag;( The cup of tea even smelled like the tea bag:(

I guess this would have been a good spot to describe Dolly Madison's favorite dessert when she lived in the White House. It was ice cream, a rather new treat for those wealthy enough to make it and preserve it. I believe Thomas Jefferson introduced it to the USA. Dolly's favorite flavor that she served regularly at White House banquets? Prepare to drool! She served her favorite -- oyster ice cream!

I love a PayDay with that cheap caramel and the stale peanuts! I must eat one at least once a year!

Funny to discover the Christmas-wrapped Frango's in with my stash of Lindt bars. It's not anything I'd buy, but, hey! They are still edible.

We have some tea bags, somewhere. We use loose tea in a tea ball to make a pot of tea most afternoons -- for Teatime Matinee.

At a visit with the nutrionist(my sugar was a little elevated) she asked me if I liked chocolate and I told her yes and asked if she had some! :). She then got in her cupboard and gave me two tea bags to try. One was Stash Organic Chocolate Orange tea, the other was Stash Decaff. Chocolate Hazelnut. I tried them both , loved them and went and bought some!

Chisue~~~I love Paydays also, so yummy. I had a supervisor that gave us each one every month with our paychecks~~PayDay LOL!

Mary, I, too, have had some great Stash teas. I sometimes buy them at Vitacost.com or iHerb.com.

Oyster ice cream??? Sounds like Dolly would have loved dried bonito tea. :-)

I have been drinking Davids Teas and their salted caramel tea is really good smells just like caramels when you open the package and it isn't salty at all and you don't really taste the caramel notes until you swallow it. My niece sent me David's Movie Night tea and it has pieces of popcorn in it. I can't bring myself to try it

My absolute favorite tea was Cranberry Cove by Celestial Seasonings. For some reason I'll never understand, they stopped making it and now have a Cran-Apple tea, a blend of flavors that is highly overrated in my opinion. Phooey! It's not nearly as good. I like it iced, mostly, unless I have a cold or I'm freezing to death.

I don't think I'd return a box of tea just because I didn't like the taste of it. I'd chalk it up to "learned something today" and I'd give it to a food bank or a friend.

I have never really tried flavored teas. I stumbled upon Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice and I love it. I use one Bengal spice teabag and one green tea teabag in a big mug with a shake of splenda. Don't even need a whole packet. Mmmmmmm

Mary the chocolate teabag sounds yummy. I have been trying to watch my sugar also. I've been really good about not eating any sweets, but I miss them. This teabag just might fix the craving. Can they be bought at Walmart or where?

Friends gave me a generous-sized box of store-brand ("Pres. Choice", for you Canadians) Turtle-like candy around Christmas, a couple of years ago, that may have been given to them, but had sea-salt on the outside, so they didn't like it. I think that the occasion was when I went to their home to write a cheque for their church, which I appreciate but don't attend.

A year or so later, when at their church for a (post-funeral?) gathering, I told them of how much I'd appreciated the candy, and added how I'd re-processed it ... by wiping the salt off with my hands. So figured that, not having returned most of the box and added the advice ... that I owed them one ... (debt unfulfilled, as yet ... but I did get a box of coated cookies for them some time ago ... that hadn't got delivered before they'd probably lost their freshness).

ole joyfuelled ... with welcome addition of chocolate, on occasion ... if one can legitimately call that "fuel"
