NYC in the USA, I agree with Annie. I read that some customers came in near closing time and the chef, named Caesar, had very few ingredients. So he made this unique dressing and put it on lettuce with shredded parmesan and tossed on some croutons. It was a huge hit and people began asking for it. It was the dressing.

I was going to say the cake thing, but since Jim already said that... I'll say it's the best man's toast! Perhaps 20% of the people polled were once the best man at a wedding. lol!

oops... didn't notice rob333 also posted "Toasts" (although I did think waiting on photos was a good answer!).

Just as a side note, I'm noticing that wedding traditions of the past are LONG GONE!!! I haven't seen a wedding cake in AGES! they all do mini pastries or cupcakes or things like that now. I haven't seen a best man's toast in ages... or the throwing of the bouquet or garter belt!

I was going to say smashing cake in the face as well,

So I'll say tinkling the glasses for a bride/groom kiss.

(The problem with living on the west coast and then going for a run/gym is that I always seem to be late to this party and the good answers are gone. mmm Maybe I'll have to get up really early)

No idea ... except maybe the counselling with the clergyperson to give them a leg up toward a trouble-free (or trouble reduced) marriage?
